You just enjoy the irritation

EXACTLY!! YES!! Let's go with that. Let's just "make shite up".
Let's pretend you had no idea what I was asking, douchebag.
If YOU could write the law, would YOUR law grant citizenship to birth tourists or to illegals who crossed the border yesterday and dropped a crumb snatcher today?
You sir, are nauseating.

He wasn't specific about that, and discussing this outside of the 14A isn't productive or relevant. What is the point? All you're doing is creating dog whistles for emotional and irrelevant digressions.

amend the Constitution
Good luck getting 3/4 of the states to ratify that proposed amendment. Its pretty evenly split on the number of red vs blue states. Red states have slim advantage, but not nearly enough for even the 2/3 needed to formally propose an amendment, much less the 3/4 needed to ratify it.

Pure birthright citizenship is an awful idea. Which is probably why almost no countries do it.
We are the most powerful and wealthy country that has ever existed.
Maybe birthright citizenship is one of the reasons.

Where in the constitution does it say squat and drop makes you a citizen?

Here's the pulp.
"subject to the jurisdiction thereof," as used in the 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause, refers to individuals who owe direct and complete allegiance to the United States

The only question is whether our SCOTUS is filled with activist outright traitors or not. If they are, they deserve a traitor's 'reward'.
We need to start seeing justice served...it's been going for decades.

You don’t seem to have any reservations about giving your opinion on everything else.

Congress =/= the USSC
??
No one is saying that (clearly). What is being stated is the USSC can overturn its interpretation from the past. That absolutely can happen. You seem to be saying it can't.

I was talking about Congress exclusively
You referenced the USSC overruling precednet

I was discussing Congress, not the USSC

Dangit. I clicked back twice. Not far enough.

That's why we can still arrest illegal aliens for murder.
They come under lawful jurisdiction upon arrest.

It’s such an easy case. The phrase “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” clearly excludes children born in the United States to non-citizens. The Supreme Court is basically reading this language out of the amendment.

The liberals will vote for birthright citizenship as that is their future voting base. We needed to deport these illegals as promised

Get ready for 9-0 , maybe 8-1, guys

So the pregnant women need to get themselves arrested and THEN their babies will be citizens?

I have always posted this since the debate began.
The Supreme Court ought to rule against executive action, but rule in away that gives Congress an out to pass legislation to clean it up or force an amendment to the constitution to clean up the language.
You can hear both side of the arguement where, the designers of the amendment implied that birth right citizenship would not include children of immigrants here illegally, but the courts have interpeted stance in many different ways over the years clouding the issue even more and pushing to the liberal interpetation that it includes everyone. Try attaining birthright citizenship in other countries especially in Europe and see if it works out for your child's citizenship in another country.
