“earth-shaking ruling”.

Not really. I’m glad they did, but the issue doesn’t impact many American citizens, except maybe mentally /emotionally for the ones who care so much about an issue the involves so few from a practical standpoint.

But yeah, good decision.

It impacts every school-aged child.

If you don’t think this flows out to other areas besides sports, you’re being willfully dumb.

It does not.

That’s not literally true if referring to the immediate legal effect of the ruling.

If you are predicting the future or making a “slippery slope” argument, I’m willing to consider that. You could be right. Time will tell, I guess.

Regardless, this issue is nowhere near the top of my list of issues right now.

As always, I reserve the right to change my mind given additional information.

Stfu

Slippery slope arguments are where you take something happening and connect it to something unrelated.

That’s not what is happening.

If a school can assign sports by biological gender, they can assign bathrooms by biological gender. They can ditch curriculum that is “trans-inclusive.” And the list goes on and on and one.

Every school was paying attention to this ruling because a lot would flow out of it.

I don’t think that’s correct. But I’m willing to change my mind given additional information.

Good ruling and good for true females who should be allowed to have fun and compete in sports without being dominated by whacked brain dudes.

Why not use the word "must" instead of "can"?

I find this a bit interesting, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson now understands what a woman is.

I think he's talking about the slippery slope fallacy, and he's correct, at least as far as you can't support the logical connection between the smaller first steps and the larger and more impactful conclusions.

As long as you can support the logical progression, slippery slopes are valid concerns to have and valid arguments to make.

It impacts every sane American.

As an old school Lesbian pointed out in a video on TikTok, she was old school LGB. She stated every letter that comes after LGB deals with Pedophilia and she and many others don't subscribe to that.

schools CAN, but it'll be interesting to see which DO and which DO NOT along with the inevitable lawsuits that follow those that DO

The ruling was about Title IX, which applies to more than just sports

Everything you post is stupid and poorly thought out Brian Kemp, congrats on your next Democrat governor and two Democratic senators!! Ask yourself how that is possible under the great “conservative” leadership of Kemp

It does because it was being used as a vehicle by some batshit crazy teachers to try gaslighting young kids into believing they are the opposite sex by playing word games with "gender".

A fifth-grade teacher in Cobb County was fired by the school board after reading the book My Shadow Is Purple to her math class and leading a lesson on themes of gender identity.

LINK - In the Spreckels Union School District, a mother filed a legal claim alleging that middle school teachers who ran a student "Equality Club" manipulated her 11-year-old daughter into changing her name and transitioning.

LINK - A California elementary teacher was reported for using a visual aid called the "gender unicorn" to teach children about gender identity, expression, and biological sex, stating that these concepts are understandable to young children.

quote:

quote:

McCray published a studylooking at transgender and gender non-conforming pre-K students, and whether educators have received the proper professional development to support them.

If a young student suggests a specific gender was assigned to an item, McCray says she will correct them. During the workshop, one educator asked if the practices push children into identifying with a particular sexuality or gender identity. However, McCray defended the way she conducts her classroom.

Let's be clear on this, "transgender" and "gender non-conforming" at pre-K student levels is a learned behavior likely stemming from gaslighting, abuse or both.

This are actual examples of how this was already being used and what would have continued happening.
