We are likely to see genocide and persecution like we haven't seen in many years at the hands of Israel and their radically anti-Christian Muslim allies that will be leading the nation following Assad's ouster.

Maybe this is what the world needs to realize the evil of Islam

Assad was Islamic and at the same time the most pro-Christian leader in the Middle East

With any luck they will see that Israel is not the shining light that people think they are

Don’t expect any sympathy from this board. The fact that they’re Arab takes precedence over the religion here

If the world hasn’t realized how evil Islam is already, then they won’t ever realize it.

We like to blame Islam but the Jews from Israel are part of genociding these Syrian Christmas too. After the Christians the Muslims will be genocided to create Greater Israel and America will cheer it on.

Oh well.

Help me understand the motivation for Israel to install yet another radical Muslim regime on their doorstep. I ask because the trend I’ve noticed is that radical Muslims tend to be rather negative towards Israel.

When are all of you going to wake up. Say a prayer for ALL of the citizens of Syria. These wars are not about religion. They are about power. If the US doesn't understand that, the world will end up addressing that problem and we will suffer because of the actions of the few that have been running our country. The only way we can absolve ourselves from this is by addressing the power brokers that rule the US and show the world what we stand for.

Maybe I’m just being naive, but if read several things that the main leader of the more powerful rebel group has said he will work to make Syria inclusive for all and is not going to do what you are skyscreaming about.

Also, don't forget to say a prayer for all the Christians standing directly in snakepits, sneaking into lion's cages, laying in middle of busy highways, and eating raw pork & chicken.

Would you agree that Christians killed, persecuted and forcibly converted people of other religions for 1500 years in the same fashion that radical Islam does today? It’s a fact, but just wondering if you can admit it.

Israel is worried about nation states that could hurt it.

They’re not worried about having a Libya on their border. They view that as desirable by comparison, it allows them to annex more land, and they believe they can manage the chaos to their benefit.

They also don’t take Islam or the Arabs seriously. In their eyes, they’re not a threat.

Edit - their problem with Christianity is theological, Jesus was rejecting the Judaism of his day, and what know now. But the Christian West was also the most powerful force on the globe for what, two millennia? We're competition, unlike Islam.
