He is basically saying that Florida is the only state that didn't flip because of it's policies. He said this election was an extinction level event for the GOP citing Texas as the jewel of the GOP fell.

After seeing how close the governor's race was, the only reason that went to Donalds was that Amendment 3 was on the ballot IMO.
Not that I think he is entirely incorrect, but there are several factors to it.
Honestly putting amendments on the ballot that are likely to get Republicans out to vote and that don't really motivate democrats to vote against them all that much might not be an awful political strategy, but since so many battleground states have Dem governors now it will be harder to accomplish.

That's the thing though, whoever is the R candidate in 2028 will have to run under the failure of Trump and not how shitty it is under D control. An R candidate will not have a chance at the white house until at least 2032.

Tons of MAGA doesn't want to acknowledge it, but Ron DeSantis is hands down the best chance of stopping the bleeding. In an election that gave us the largest blue tidal wave of our lifetimes and even longer, he found a way to keep Florida red.
He's qualified and until someone else pops up with a better resume, he has my complete support.
