quote:

DeSantis said, “They have effectively a blank check policy with no clear strategic objective identified, and these things can escalate. I don’t think it’s in our interest to be getting into a proxy war with China getting involved over things like the borderlands or over Crimea. So I think it would behoove them to identify what is the strategic objective that they are trying to achieve. But just saying it’s an open-ended blank check, that’s not acceptable.”

quote:

He added, “I think it’s important to point out the fear of Russia going into NATO countries and all that, and steamrolling, that has not even come close to happening. I think they have shown themselves to be a third-rate military power. I think they have suffered tremendous, tremendous losses. I got to think the people in Russia are probably disapproving of what’s going on. I don’t think they can speak up about it for obvious reasons. I think Russia has been really wounded here. I don’t think they are the same threat to our count. Even though they are hostile, I don’t think they are on the same level as China.”

Has Trump made a statement like this? Or is he still bashing Desantis?

You’re cheering a statement that any republican should say if he didnt think there was a spending problem with Ukraine, it would actually be news.

Why are politicians not eager to point out the lack of accountability for the money. We all know they're just writing a check, and have no clue where it's going. Or they DO know where it's going and don't want it to be discovered. The money isn't finding its way to the battle field

Just kinda bizarre that politicians aren't harping on the money laundering scheme going on.

My last question is, why are we giving money to Ukraine with nothing in exchange? I don't want money going over there regardless, but we at least deserve some sort of overly favorable trade deal in exchange. Maybe they don't do anything worth while in Ukraine?

He said it never would have happened if he were President which is true and we should be working to end it not escalate it into WW3.

I agree. But many Republicans, especially those in power right now, want to give them a blank check. And people have been asking about his foreign policy. I'm glad he has the correct position.

The only people who would take issue with that statement are the Ukraine forever leftists and their enablers in the OnlyTrump wing of the party who want to get Biden re-elected.

Outside of the obvious laundering programs they run, wasn't it rumored that they also have excellent gain of function research centers.

The majority of republicans in congress think otherwise.

I agree no blank check. But Ukraine needs the help. Hopefully Desantis doesn't throw them under the bus to win the primary.

This is really losing its significance due to blatant overuse.

No such thing as only Trumpers. Trump voters will vote for DeSantis if he runs and wins the primary and DeSantis voters will vote for Trump.

What? Have you listened to Mitch McConnell lately? Plenty of them are on the war bandwagon. Trumpists have been trying to put Desantis in the same camp.

Sure about that? Shouldn’t we maybe be investigating or auditing where that money goes in Ukraine? Zelensky has already proven that he is a leech and Pedo Joe owes Ukraine. Don’t trust anything going on in that area. Our government is worried about the Ukraine border more than they are worried about ours.

Dont think this is political? The same liberals that told us "enough is enough" in Iraq and Afghanistan while trying desperately to restore diplomatic relations with Russia, are ready to send that amount X10 to Ukraine, even if it means WW3.

I can agree with that. It just seems like he spends way more time bashing Ron than Joe and the admin.

What? Does Ron want Russia to take over all the illegal bio weapon labs we have in Ukraine?
