Please fricking stop. He was a militant leftist and his motivations were hatred toward Kirk's message. These are HIS words reenforced by the testimony of his own family and friends.
The left wants this to be a "muh both sides" issue to deflect blame, and somehow hold Trump accountable for fixing the rot within the radicalized corners of the democrat party. Its not going to work.

I don’t think it’s a reach to say his “friends” didn’t know much about him. He clearly had some pinned up thoughts that resulted in cold blooded violence in the highest degree against someone unmistakably right wing.

We may never determine why he did this, other than a relationship with a trans guy, his family and neighbors saying he had become far left wing, speaking in SLC at the democrat socialist of America meeting, and his online conversations about his hatred of CK and the right. Other than that though there are no real clues to a motive.
