RNC moves to require presidential candidates to skip traditional commission debates

The Republican National Committee alerted the Commission on Presidential Debates on Thursday that it plans to require GOP candidates to not attend presidential debates run by the commission going forward.
"The RNC will initiate the process of amending the Rules of the Republican Party at our upcoming Winter Meeting to prohibit future Republican nominees from participating in CPD-sponsored debates," wrote Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel in the letter, which was obtained by The Hill.
McDaniel wrote the GOP voters "have lost trust" in the commission and noted that the RNC has proposed a number of reforms to the debate process.
"Unfortunately, neither the tone nor substance of your latest response inspires confidence that the CPD will meaningfully address the serious issues which the RNC has raised," she said,
If the RNC moves to change its rules, the pullout would mark one of the greatest changes in the history of U.S. presidential debates.

About time. These things have been so painful to watch with the democrat-cheerleaders masquerading as objective moderators.

Don’t just write letters talking about it. Let your nuts hang and fricking do it.

What changes did they demand? What were the problems?

Remove the moderator. Computer reads question. Candidate's mic is turned on for set time period, when time is up mic turns off and audience can no longer hear even if he won't shut up.
There everything fixed.
There everything fixed.

They were CNN and Swamp ran.
I am shocked Ronna Romney is doing this. This tells me they are going to present Noem, Pence, Haley as MAGA as they can.

Makes no sense that they would ever send a candidate to debate with the likes of Chrissy Wallace. Why not have Mark Levin moderate. Do it in your terms are don’t do it. The sheep will still vote the way they’re told, we don’t have to prove jack shite to them.

Can’t stand to listen to Noem anymore, knowing that Lewandowski was banging her while she’s married.

The establishment can try to polish that turd, but it wont work. Both parties are gong to be putting forward a candidate from their "extreme" wings. Only way to win/survive the primary.
So, whomever the Rep party candidate is, they will be right of Hitler to the debate commision.

For one, the moderator shouldn’t answer questions for the Dem candidate, nor ask false leading questions to the Republican candidate as though the real answer is already known.
You know, basic common sense to eliminate the blatant bias.
But you already knew that.

Each candidate should choose a questioner, those then select the moderator.
Questioner gets to ask question, then follow up, to each candidate.
So -
Levin would ask Biden, then follow up to Biden
Maddow would ask Trump, then follow up to Trump.
Then Levin question/follow up to Trump
Then Maddow to Biden.
So, in the span of 4 questions/follow ups, the candidates will face a softball and a fastball.
All the moderator does is direct the questioning.

When Chris Wallace is the "conservative journalist" chosen to moderate a debate, there is absolutely NO F*CKING DOUBT that the Commission is completely f*cking CORRUPT.

Oh...and frick questions from the audience (or their even to be able to ask questions). Town hall style is crap.

Mitten's niece and rule changes, uh yeah this ain't sketch at all. I am sure that they will add a host of other rules for the upcoming Presidential Primary.

The problem with Presidential debates is that the questions and topics all slant towards the Democrats. Trans rights, race relations, climate change, voting rights, etc.
All easy points for any Democrat, and easy for a moderator to corner in a GOP candidate and make them look evil for taking the opposite position.
Immigration, tax policy, foreign policy, economy, etc, are all placed on the back burner.

I think many are missing the real goal here. The Uniparty wants to provide a built in excuse to not have Biden on the debate stage. Republicans present it as finally growing some balls and Dems win by not having the mentally challenged and senile criminal frick on stage answering questions.
But sure, keep your illusion that they are not really working together...
