You are not unarmed behind the wheel of a car, driving at somebody. Plenty of cops have been killed by being hit by cars. I doubt any have ever been killed by an unarmed woman not attacking anybody.
Also, the police in Minnesota attempted to detain and possibly arrest that woman before she hit an officer with her car. Babbit was shot without any attempt to arrest her.
There is no connection between the two cases.

I think as a whole, we underuse tasers for door and road blockers.
