How many times is "Jesus" written in the OT?
How obtuse do you have to be to think that because there aren’t big flashing signs that say “This is about Jesus” that it isn’t about Jesus

RI middle school had mural of Moloch?
Great question. I am yet to see any report that does not trace back to the Alex Jones tweet.
No reports from any person who claims to have actually seen it.
No photographs showing it from a different perspective than the one in the original tweet.
I searched and can't find anything...

It did exist though. It's funny that you'd rush to "muh A.I." and claim it never happened rather than face the reality that it in fact DID happen.

ETA - 10 pages in, and you're still pretending this didn't happen.
I'm flat out saying it didn't happen because there is NO source for this story except the tweet by Romona Bessinger and retweets of that original tweet.
The only source of the "press release" is the EXACT SAME SOURCE as the original story: Romona Bessinger.
Please provide an independent link to the story.

Did the mural actually depict Molach?
Posted on 2/20/26 at 9:43 am to Salviati
School district isn't going to crow about a mural they had to paint over 20 yrs ago.
The 'source' did give a direct comment on this current matter. You can ( I assume) understand why they would rather not hype up a story that came and went from the early 2000's.
You can't declare it didn't happen.

Why don’t you highlight the specific evidences (or some of them) that the book claims and have a discussion about that rather than asking someone to read a book about it? When I have theological discussions, I could just tell someone to read the Bible or other books, but instead I make the arguments about what I believe the Bible teaches so that people on a public message board can engage with them.

quote:You're right. I misremembered what you had actually said after being side-tracked by SFP.
You just engaged in a typical lawyer trick here. If you’re referring to me, I never claimed that the Jews “were fine with worshiping other gods” for themselves.
What you had actually said was, "That one reason why you didn’t see widespread Roman persecution of Jewish religious practices across the Roman Empire in the period immediately before Christianity, but then did see persecution against Christians. It’s because the Jews were fine with acknowledging Pagan Roman religious practices as actual devotions to gods. Christians weren’t."
Here, you were claiming that the Jews were polytheistic but preferred to worship one God over others. The Jewish religion taught against this at its core. Even if you subscribe to the "revisions" of the second-temple, post-exilic Jews, as Squirrelmiester claims, that was still several hundred years before the Roman conquest.
quote:It's not a matter of understanding. It's a rejection of an anti-biblical, materialist worldview that permeates the conclusions you and others come to.
Whatever, you have no interesting in understanding or attempting to understand. Again, you could eat a source that I’ve out in this thread, but you have no interest.

Looks like a reasonable enough representation of Moloch to me.

Bad use of the meme.
The press release says it was just a fantasy mural. Do you have any evidence to counter this?
It's only "real" if you can confirm this was Moloch

You don't realize it but you're doing the meme you just posted

It did exist though. It's funny that you'd rush to "muh A.I." and claim it never happened rather than face the reality that it in fact DID happen.
An intelligent person (and this might be difficult for you, so just follow along with your finger pointing at the words), might question something so unlikely as a school permitting a mural of Moloch on its walls.
That same intelligent person (just keep pointing to the words as you read), might consider questioning the existence of such an unlikely mural in a world where AI is prevalent.
The intelligent person would look for confirmation that the purported picture exists. Upon finding that the ONLY source of the picture is one SINGLE tweet and retweets of the SINGLE tweet, one would rationally conclude that the picture is a hoax.
When confronted by a purported "press release" from the EXACT SAME SOURCE as the SINGLE tweet of the picture, an intelligent person (and, admittedly, this does not include you) would look for confirmation of the purported press release. After all, a press release is intended to receive wide-spread publication because it is a "press release." Somebody ought to be a source of the press release even if it's only the Pawtucket School Department.
Upon finding that the ONLY source of the press release is, in fact, the EXACT SAME SOURCE as the SINGLE tweet of the picture, an intelligent person (no, no, not you) would rationally conclude that the picture is indeed a hoax.

Yes, I have my own eyes and understanding of what 'fantasy' is vs what Moloch looks like.

That's not an accurate statement.
The school admin/ teachers either knew it was Moloch and tried to slide one past the parents, OR they didn't know, and are just naïve clowns, which should lead parents to ask why are they in charge of teaching their children anything.
I don't see a legitimate reason why they should be given the benefit of a doubt, especially in light of the level of indoctrination we've seen in current times.

No, because I'm not. You're just trolling and doing so very badly.

Did the mural even exist at all?
So far there has been no independent corroboration. Only the original tweet that kicked off all this nonsense.

I know you want the world to work in a certain way, but in reality, it doesn't always do so.
Don't get mad at me because others don't "play by the rules".

Nope. I was claiming, as I’ve said several times in this thread, that they were monolatrists.

The 'source' tweeted some text that she claims came from an email sent out by the school system.
That proves nothing. She could just as easily have made up that text herself.

Stop copy and pasting only the parts which you feel make your case.
If you're going to quote me, use the whole sentence.

To the eye and art capabilities of an average middle schooler, yes this looks like a reasonable representation of Moloch.
Seriously, WTF is even your problem?
