Start the military industrial complex expansion by ramping up the Cold War (Reagan exponentially increased the size of the military industrial complex)? Or perhaps it was when Trump reauthorized the surveillance state and increased military spending and foreign wars?

Trump is just as much a product of the CIA/NSA swamp and Barry Soetoro was.

When I was going through Sniper School at Bragg, before they consolidated every to Benning, our very first day in Dope class our old Vietnam vet instructor told us that, "one of the shooters was a Bragg trained shooter" that killed Kennedy.

We all thought he was bat shite crazy.

Anyways, I've been hearing for the past few months that info is coming out that one of the shooters was teained at Bragg. He confessed in prison just before he died ... he used a Remington Fireball from the Grassy Knoll.

I remember like yesterday when JFK was shot.

It's always interested me since. So sitting in class that day was kind of a shocker.

And now hearing that it was a Remington Fireball ... makes total sense. Those things were lasers.

I’ve recommended this book several times before and I’ll recommend it again…

Turmoil and Triumph: My Years as Secretary of State by George Shultz.

It’s a serious, long read at 1100 pages.

Side notes: Shultz and Weinberger hated each other with a white hot passion. Shultz also hated GHWB and flat out calls him a dirty CIA plant.

There was a years long death match civil war over the CIA and control of it during the Reagan Administration.

It was brought somewhat under control by the end of the Reagan Administration but slowly grew in power again until it went full blown hog wild under the W Administration. Then the Obama Administration didn’t try to rein it in; instead, they did something more heinous. They joined forces with it in a you scratch my back I’ll scratch your back way. Today, it’s more powerful than it’s been since the Dulles days.

Interestingly enough, William Webster was a key figure in all of this during the Reagan years. The only person in history to ever lead the FBI and the CIA.

Could be true and probably explains LBJ's frustration with the Vietnam War and not running for another term. All his life he wanted to be POTUS and when he become POTUS his hands were tied with a war.

I wonder then if the CIA had to do something with Watergate. If not directly then not let it die and let it snowball till Nixon resigned. Nixon wanted to end the Vietnam war yet the CIA might have made him drag it out.
