Sounds like they using reason on this one. Illegals deserve no representation in this country.

Unfortunately the Constitution grants them representation.

It would be great to have that amended.

If you read the whole thing the conservative justices questions and comments indicate a definite lean.

Exactly.

Immigrant or not, if your a citizen what would you be scared of?

If you're not a citizen you should be required to show proof of your valid work visa or student visa AND proof of employment/school enrollment.

Or GTFO..

What stops anyone from lying on the form?

Something tells me many of the forms for illegals end up in the garbage can. the less the government knows about then the better they like it, at least under Trump.

This people, is what the frick I voted for. Some common damn sense to once again play a role in our government.

Me, too.

I guess Beer Bong Brett and John Roberts Obama stayed on the reservation this time. The sad thing is, this isn't even an issue we should be debating.

I’m shocked the word “handpicked” wasn’t used in that article.

This would cost Democratic-leaning areas electoral representation in Congress and federal aid, benefiting Trump’s fellow Republicans and Republican-leaning parts of the country, they said.

Maybe you should stop relying on illegals for funds and votes.

Perhaps no longer being paid to harbor illegals will cause them to change those policies. I'm sure it stings not being able to make the criminals as comfortable as possible simply to gain power and money, but laws and stuff.

Opponents have said inclusion of a citizenship question would cause a sizeable undercount by frightening immigrant households and Latinos from filling out the census forms

*illegal immigrants

I don't think legal immigrants have a problem with this.

I present to you the 1900 Census:

quote:

What was the person's place of birth?

What was the person's father's place of birth?

What was the person's mother's place of birth?

What year did the person immigrate to the United States?

How many years has the person been in the United States?

Is the person naturalized?

Isn't it illegal to actively promote a crime? You can leave it blank, but if you knowingly lie, that must be some kind of violation.

Or should be.

Lying on a Census for is a pretty serious federal crime. Definitely a felony.
