Less than half. Cruz still won despite losing every one of those cities.

That’s pushing it a bit. They won 1 US Rep seat for spending millions and millions.

I think we're okay in Texas and Arizona one last time with Trump. More worried about PA, MI, WI for obvious reasons.
In 2024 we'd likely need a Rubio type to carry more Hispanics though.
Trump's electoral map looks bleak right now but the incumbency has some huge advantages and he's a fighter / survivor.

Those four MSAs are a bit more than 18 million, of a total 28 million.

MI and WI will be a lost cause in 2020 (Trump's 2016 win there was more a fluke of low Dem turnout). Put all the chips into PA for 2020 (where Trump won in 2016 even with high Dem turnout) and holding the line in FL/NC/GA/TX. Can still win a 269-269 tie if AZ flips in this scenario too.

I don't think you understand how their minds work. They think it's entirely possible to pick up a turd by the "clean end"

Texas will be Blue in the foreseeable future. Once that happens, we will see the USA accelerate towards being The Workers' Paradise.

Texas is our last stand. The last beacon of hope before the ungodly lib savages overrun the country.

Just enforce cotizenship requirements to vote... problem solved
Posted on 1/29/19 at 10:35 am to cokebottleag
They should. As soon as Texas sucks enough industry out of California, taxes will go through the roof.

Republicans need to Work on BLEXIT in Louisiana and Mississippi. Get the truth out to the large black populations in these states.

You've missed the point. As per usual

Pretty picture. The problem is - that's a frickload of counties with almost 0 people in them.
Now do the same picture showing the number of voters in each county.

And some wonder why Dems don't care about illegal immigration

Oh. Is this where we focus on just the national seats and ignore the new judges in Harris County? Or that fancy new County Judge in Harris County? Or the 12 seat change in the Texas House? Or what about how the Democrats went from holding a majority on 3 of the 14 appeals courts to now holding a majority on 7.
Or the Democrats taking 2 seats in the Senate - which dropped the Republicans down to 19 - and now with Danny getting in his little spat with Selinger, he no longer necessarily has the 19 votes required to move legislation forward in the Senate which means he needs Selinger or a Democrat to vote to move legislation forward. Seriously, this might go down in Texas history as one of the stupidest fights for a Lt. Governor to have - he has to keep in mind the number of votes to move legislation forward and yet, fricked up. Poor Danny.
Anyways - yeah, if you look at Congress, it wasn't a sea change. But there were bits of Texas that definitely changed and the legislature was a big one.

im just worrying about the emigration from over priced california (due to their liberal politics) to texas causing texas to turn blue
Posted on 1/29/19 at 11:23 am to cokebottleag
I worked with a bunch of young southern California guys in Dallas and they are more conservative than any of my southern friends.
I know there are tons of libs in Austin, but there are plenty of good California people in Texas.
