Cracked open my batches from September. First time trying AB's recipe and I find they came out a little TOO strong. Do they just need to age longer? Anyone experiment with using less, or different alcohols and manage to not affect the preservation?

Is the alcohol taste supposed to come through in the finished product or is the point of aging it to get rid of that? I was late finding this thread but I made some anyway out of curiosity. I taste tested a couple of days after I made it and I thought it was very good but I definitely can tell there's alcohol in there, which I don't mind.

After seeing the above comment about thinking it was too strong after 3 months of aging, I'm looking for some clarity on what you guys expect the finished product to taste like.

My main pot is a 16qt... but I like eating leftovers for a week or more so maybe not for everyone. I think my smaller pot is 5 or 6... If I had an 8 or 10 I would probably use that the most.

If I'm crunching the numbers correctly, that's triple batch of the AB recipe, right?

Are we talking about the burger joint from California?

I have this Hoshizaki

5 years in and still working great. Love the top hat ice. Only knock is it's a little loud when its running and the top hat ice makes a little thud when it drops but its pretty far from my living area/bedroom so not really a big deal. I'd imagine a lot of ice makers have the same issue.

ETA: Doesn't meet your output spec though... per the website, this one is up to 54 lbs/day and 27 lb bin
My car got broken into in Atlanta and when I tracked my stolen iPad it was at Atlantic Station...

ETA: Police refused investigate at all... 2 weeks later it ended up in Hong Kong, then Shenzhen where it eventually lost signal

That video is pretty good for a beginner, but he doesn't brown his meats even close to long enough and proudly pours 2 Tbsp of kitchen bouquet in there to make up for it

HoopsGalore is the Madison expert here. Might want to search his posts. Met up with him when Bama played there last year and had a great time. He is about y'alls age so all of his suggestions should be right up your alley.
I was expecting to, but once I entered my CC info it told me I was entered for the draw and that was it.
I was able to do it, but that website is pretty clunky. It took nearly 10 minutes for the verification email to come through before I could finish the process.

Ben dinucci, former cowboys backup QB started this stupid shite with the upside down Dallas hats. It got big because Dak started wearing it.

Is all the discussion happening in specific team threads? Golazo show was awesome yesterday with all the high scoring games. So many beautiful goals.

I've never done the JFK tour, but knowing that area, I'd imagine your kids will be pretty underwhelmed going from the stockyards to Dealey Plaza... maybe flip the order?
Yep has to be talking about Christies.

If you're hellbent on staying in deep ellum, Backyard might be your best option? Not really a traditional divey "sports bar" but it has some very big screens for games and lots of other TV's. It's probably been 5 years since I've been there so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I just need to bookmark this thread or something. Having it at the bottom is BS. But I think once games start, this should pick up quite a bit.

I'll take it to San Antonio, Houston, or New Orleans, but I'm over them. Even with all the construction at DFW, I prefer American. A List is pretty worthless compared to American status in my experience.

I live down the street and didn't believe you at first, but man there really is a lot of construction there right now. Mockingbird gets down to one lane each direction right at the Love Field entrance.

Is this confirmed? He's from Louisiana and I've heard him talk about going to LSU, so not sure where that would come from.
