Agreed buffalo Phil’s is bad, but if I remember correctly it was one of the only off campus places you could use dining dollars so maybe that’s always propped up their sales
Wow I've stayed literally 50 yards from where that incident happened. Instantly recognized that dive bar on the corner, Crystal Corner Bar. Actually was a great area to stay for the Bama/Wisconsin game.

it's hard to score free upgrades on any of the big 3 airlines when you fly out of their major hubs since you are essentially competing with the entire program

I have platinum status (3rd tier out of 4) on AA and fly out of DFW... I think the only flights I've ever been upgraded on are on the small regional jets to a smaller airport (Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Baton Rouge, etc..) and typically its only on the way to those places. The return flight is usually packed and I don't get it because of all the people connecting through DFW.

I had Sean Wang for intermediate accounting in grad school… amazing professor who made me like accounting for the first time ever.

Not sure they make it anymore but I’ve had the same inspiration 626 since 1999 or 2000. Even though I only break it out once or twice a year now, I’m shocked it’s still kicking.

5 if you want to count Jeff Caldwell who spent the first three years of his CFB career at Lindenwood before transferring to Cincinnati.

I think that’s the point… pre transfer portal he might have stayed and been drafted from Lindenwood but they are getting poached now
I wouldn’t blame Allen for transferring if that was actually going to be the starting 5… I know it won’t but woof, that looks like 10th place in conference
Our DH looks like a little leaguer with that ridiculous pre at bat routine
Did I miss something or was that short pop up clearly a foot inside the 3rd base line and the ump called it foul?

Philon did shite tonight and we still housed them, are we a better overall team without Holloways iso?!?

Philon didn't shoot well but I don't think you can say he played like shite with 12 assists. What a great game to watch. Loved all the ball movement.
Tamales are my favorite non-sausage/ground meat item
I've been several times with a friend who joined one in Dallas and it's massively underwhelming IMO

Cracked open my batches from September. First time trying AB's recipe and I find they came out a little TOO strong. Do they just need to age longer? Anyone experiment with using less, or different alcohols and manage to not affect the preservation?

Is the alcohol taste supposed to come through in the finished product or is the point of aging it to get rid of that? I was late finding this thread but I made some anyway out of curiosity. I taste tested a couple of days after I made it and I thought it was very good but I definitely can tell there's alcohol in there, which I don't mind.

After seeing the above comment about thinking it was too strong after 3 months of aging, I'm looking for some clarity on what you guys expect the finished product to taste like.

My main pot is a 16qt... but I like eating leftovers for a week or more so maybe not for everyone. I think my smaller pot is 5 or 6... If I had an 8 or 10 I would probably use that the most.

If I'm crunching the numbers correctly, that's triple batch of the AB recipe, right?

I have this Hoshizaki

5 years in and still working great. Love the top hat ice. Only knock is it's a little loud when its running and the top hat ice makes a little thud when it drops but its pretty far from my living area/bedroom so not really a big deal. I'd imagine a lot of ice makers have the same issue.
