I’m not a Redskins fan, but I always thought that the Redskins logo was one of the best in all of sports.

It was also drawn by a princess of the local Native American tribe who lived in the area when whites first settled there.
Maybe someone can explain to me why white leftists get to claim offense over a logo that was drawn by a member of the tribe it seeks to portray and that was signed off on by the tribe in question when it went into use.

The family of the guy that’s likeness was used for the logo was pissed because no one ever consulted with them about removing the logo.

All the Indians polled on mascots showed that they supported names like Redskins, Seminoles, Braves, etc. The protests are from white leftists.

The two feathers on the outside of the circle are boss. To me, that detail set it apart from other logos big time.

That would indeed be a welcome return but for purposes of the OPs story, I’m not sure if it’s inferring a potential restoration of the Redskins nickname as well or simply the ability to use that logo (which was an awesome logo).

prefer seeing the indians go back before redskins. Just b/c i think guardians is stupid as ....
Sports teams and leagues should just come to a conclusion to include some type of history incorporated with the team nicknames. Maybe in the stadiums, certain special games, etc.

The only Native American mascots I ever thought of potentially being offensive to actual Native Americans was the Southeast Oklahoma State Savages and the Washington Redskins. I’ve never understood how generic names like Chiefs, Indians, Braves, etc. could be considered offensive. Now it seems most Native Americans are not even offended by the Redskins. Cha be the name back and end this madness.
