I didn't say that.

But you don't blow the bridges unless you CANNOT STOP THE ENEMY FROM CROSSING IT.

Another reason to do it is to prevent them from crossing it because under the circumstances YOU JUST DON'T WANT THEM TO CROSS IT. It messes up their plans. AND THEY ARE IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Well if they are so weak how are they able to cross it?

If they are in front of you.

If they are behind you, then you are probably a dead tank.

Tanks do not like confined spaces and they suck in urban combat.

You make no sense. You don’t destroy your own infrastructure unless the threat is extremely real and the situation is dire.

also expected the President to flee and not stay. Is he definitely, for sure actually still there?

He was as of sundown yesterday. He was seen taking pictures with soldiers outside the Ukrainian Parliament building yesterday evening. He told Biden this morning that he was not fleeing and if Putin wanted regime change then they would get it after he is killed with an AK in his hands. He says he needs ammo not transportation.

I was surprised by that.

On the fairly safe assumption the Russian weight of arms finally gains the complete upper hand, It would seem the smart play as setting up a government in exile. Perhaps in Poland where NATO arms would protect him.

From then on a resistance movement would be set up similar to the resistance of the French which was supported from a secure base in the UK where their government in exile was located.

It could very well be long and very bloody, as the Russians do not care about collateral damage, but the chances of that government in exile are very decent in the long term.

Even if true it's largely irrelevant at this stage. Estimates put the Russian forces at only ~1/2 of what Putin had staged prior to the invasion. If true, Putin is letting Ukraine spend the brunt of their ammo at the onset (which means that shipments from Europe to the Ukrainians becomes more and more important).

I would think the fact that the Russians have not taken any major city is because they are by-passing the major cities purposefully, with the exception of the capital, of course. I don't think it is (though I would be happy if it were) the fact that they are being beaten back at every city.

Who knows what the morale is with the Russian troops. Or what they've been told is the reason for this invasion. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin told them some lies to fight in this war. An army full of distrust and low morale is susceptible to getting fended off.

I mean...I think we'll know the outcome of this conflict pretty quickly. I'd wager it won't last longer than a few months.

They are about to go chemical.

They are not. First off, Russia has not been communist since 1991. There is no “Red Army”. Second, according to Russian news, the operation is moving successfully but slowly due to Ukraine placing military equipment and weapons close to civilian areas. The Ukrainians know, Russians will not deliberately bomb civilian areas.
Some of y’all still believe Western media which is mind boggling after all they’ve lied about.
