I'm routing for Ukraine, but all these massive russian losses and they keep coming? It may be tougher than expected, but it's like Stalingrad, KGB at conscripts back with machine guns. Go forward!

Them getting their nuts handed to them in Afghanistan was not propaganda.

Well if they are so weak how are they able to cross it?
Maybe you want to funnel them through terrain of your choosing and force attacks into defensive positions you have prepared and not let them hit you where you ain't.

The fog of war and both sides making wild claims.
What is quite telling is that Putin has not been able to achieve objectives and is looking weaker every single day even with overwhelming armament.

I don’t know who I distrust more: Russia, the Media, or US intelligence agencies.
US intelligence rarely outright lies. If there’s any dishonesty it’s almost always lies of omission or half truths. If US intel says that two planes were downed then two planes were probably downed.
It’s just whenever US Intel releases a statement you have to read it carefully and parse it out so you understand what they’re ACTUALLY saying.

Are these the same intelligence agencies who called Jan 6th an insurrection and concerned parents domestic terrorists?

I have no trouble believing the Russian military is a hollow shell lacking in morale, experience and competence. Historically the Russians lose a lot of wars. Hard to conquer Russia as an invading force, but they are usually shite at projecting power beyond their borders (WWII is a rare exception). I do think the US could smoke them if we had the resolve, but we don't. Further, nobody wants to risk a nuclear exchange. Peter Zeihan recently hinted that we may just let the Russian military get ground down in an endless guerilla war (Afghanistan part two), but the Ukrainians don't benefit from the defense-friendly mountainous terrain of Afghanistan.

Yes but they were not lying on this one. They even predicted the exact location of where Russia was going to build its pontoon bridges across the Pripyat river.

While obviously a higher quality of workmanship, I still question reliability of their mobile and airborne weapons platforms. Their capacity do perform quality construction for industry is 4th world quality at best. Crews have to be brought in from former Eastern Bloc countries to perform industrial construction and turnarounds.

I’d say if we did go in there we would easily beat the ever living shite out of them.
Just like we did in Afghanistan, Grenada, and Vietnam?

Putin either grossly underestimated the Ukrainian forces or his forces are very inadequate/not trained well like he may thought.
What he grossly underestimated was US intelligence that is used for Ukrainian targeting of the Ruskies.

If this were true, there would be no reason for us to be involved.
I've heard this for a year, and Russia is still inside Ukraine.
Posted on 1/26/23 at 4:42 pm to Catchfalaya
Sounds like we've done enough and the Ukrainians can mop up the rest on their own

Follow ELINT News or the Intel crab. Go look at the carnage the Ukrainians are imposing on Russia.
are you not aware that the world is providing Ukraine with advanced weaponry?
