Congress should send Trump a bill that does not increase the debt. That will get him.

Anyway, the debt ceiling is just a joke. Really means nothing.

I love these.
If you stacked 36 trillion dollars in $100 dollar bills, it would be 24,431 miles high.

I'm against this bill. Trump needs a humbling here. I'm still onboard with a lot that he's doing but I am more in tune with Elon funding a complete dismantling and rebuild of the GOP.
Rewrite it with no pork, all cuts. And if you can't do that, let it die and then revisit it after the mid-terms.
Strategy only works though if Elon funds the Republican Revolution.

So you are against cuts to the Biden Budget?
Posted on 6/4/25 at 11:27 am to BCreed1
growth of gdp is the most important factor.

So he's voting against tax cuts and cuts to medicaid in the Biden budget.
Got it.
This is why we are fricked without a government overhaul.
Why the frick are these bills big gargantuan cluster fricks of bullshite? Why are these tax cuts, and the defense spending, and silencers being legal, among countless other things, all rolled into this big bazillion page bazillion issue cluster frick?

Congress needs to face questions from the public like the y grill witnesses.

So you're for all the spending that remains in Biden's budget?

Again. We are operating under Biden's budget. This cuts that.
Here is the CBO...

This is not factual. Those tax cuts are already in place. This keeps them the same.
So it actually cuts spending.
And Rand KNOWS this.
Here is the CBO...

quote:
The House-passed bill would reduce the federal government's revenues by $3.67 trillion over a decade
This is not factual. Those tax cuts are already in place. This keeps them the same.
quote:
the CBO forecasted, while reducing spending by $1.25 trillion.
So it actually cuts spending.
quote:
The number of people in the United States without health insurance would increase by 10.9 million by 2034 due to policy changes in the House bill, the CBO said. Of that number, an estimated 1.4 million people would be undocumented immigrants who no longer would be covered in programs funded by the states.
And Rand KNOWS this.

Rand is spot on. Congress is incapable of slowing down the out of control spending. Democrats simply refuse to do it and Republicans can’t agree enough to bypass the Democrats even when they have the numbers advantage.

STUPID
1 issue bills!!!!!!
I thought this is how we ended up with Johnson because the prior speaker kept doing this kind of big spending bills

The big beautiful bill is over 1000 pages.
Thanks for your three bullet points, but Rand’s point, and those of us who are critical thinking adults can understand, is that there is a lot of shite/pork in there, and as principled conservatives, he disagrees with the debt increase. As should you.

Nope. I am not. Other things have to be done via rescission packages and the first is coming to congress this week.
That's due to the SENATE rules and Rand knows this. He's playing word games.
This cuts spending.

1 issue bills!!!!!!
Again... Rescission packages are the only venue to cut. That can not be included in this bill due to Senate rules.
