LINK - The only important blurb is towards the end of the clip.
No wonder they put up all the FLOCK cameras on I-10 - to scan us and monitor our carbon footprint. #ForOurSafety... Right?

Just sling a little mud on your plate and let it dry. Problem solved.

So I guess in the 5 parishes that require Emission Testing you will get a QR code and yet still be required to go in for testing. So not much changed in these parishes money wise.

For a fee they’ll let you choose the link.

Goes into effect Jan 2027
Nolan still has to get brake tags as a municipal requirement
The new codes are supposed to contain limited info. Car color, and vin but it’s possible that insurance will also be reflected.
Imo, this is a data grab. Expect that more info will be contained in that scan code. Big brother…

You'll just need a little black square stamp to make the QR code useless.

Unless you have lived in Orleans Parish, you've never had a brake tag.

Not true.
If you know what you are doing you can actually make it read there is a connection error when read by a camera or scanner of any type.
My son makes these for businesses and they can be easily altered.

What about tags expiring between June - December? Do they still have to get a new tag expiring in 2007? Seems pointless to have to do that.

Doesn’t the plate already have the data tied to it?

Like fingernails on a chalkboard.

You can but it would be best to make one linked to some crazy shite IMO
I can tell you stories how it's being used now with LPRs and it would absolutely baffle you the stories I hear from former colleagues that I trained. They are all now senior officers being forced to use data to make stops off of information that is not verifiable off the FLOCK data transfer.
One smeared mud glob on one number or letter on your plate throws a red flag.
The gov is outta control and i ran fast and will never look back.

Semantics. I do remember in college hearing students from NO say that and I was like….what? We always called it an inspection sticker. I just figured the people from NO were just saving syllables.

Orleans Parish inspected for brake lights before the state had inspection stickers. Thus it was called a brake tag and still is in Orleans Parish.due no state inspection stickers there.

Oh no you don't, BUCK-O! You are responsible for a clean and legible tag and plate.

I wonder how long it’s going to take for thieves to steal info using that bar code?
