So now we have a High Level Committee to develop a road map that will interpret the memorandum of understanding to discuss a possible final deal. Got it.

I suppose that’s your dream scenario, eh? If you had the ability to make things as screwed up as possible for this country, eh? Eh? Move to Canada if you hate so badly. All you gotta do is drop in an “eh” here and there and the language barrier will be no more. Except for French. You may wanna pick up some French.

Is East Baton Rouge Parish in charge of these negotiations?
They’ve been “negotiating” for three months, then we had an MOU to continue negotiating over the same things, and now we have a bureaucratic hierarchy established to negotiate the negotiations

Maybe it's just me, and the Qataris and Pakistanis negotiating this deal are *actually* noble people that want to see peace and prosperity in their region - but I find it very hard to trust their altruism.
What are their motives here? Something about this whole deal is so odd to me, but maybe I'm just stuck in a different era of ME leadership and policy. Obviously this administration has a billion times more information than I'll ever have, but trusting Muslims to have our best interests in regards to other Muslims is uncomfortable at best

just giving Iran every chance to frick up
good thing the negotiators are not affected by day-to-day happenings like the shriekers posting here
Thanks for doing your tiny part to buck up the Iranians.
The weakness of the American electorate is what they are banking on.

Feels like McKinsey is running this.

I'm from Big 4, and I'm here to help.

They’ve already won that, back in 2001. Probably before. That’s why this half-measure bullshite was dumb from the start. What are we even doing?

I’m just thinking that’s probably not exactly what this particular setup is like. All things considered.

All of the language I've heard is exactly like accomplishing nothing, but talking a lot, which is what most of the consultancies are like. It's like a status slide full of "TBD."
Like I told someone today, I don't pay attention for two weeks, until we figure out who is making pronouncements from the IRGC/Iran and whether they have any clout or not. Some rando shithead on Kharg Island can get in front of an Al Jazeera reporter and proclaim the goals of the Islamic Republic, etc.

That's actually a menu for breakfast

Well, I think you touch on a great point - nothing is definitive about this “memorandum,” that’s the expectation of both (or all?? Lol) sides. Thus, why offer the opponent a free glimpse into the type of “final” or “definitive” language that we DO intend to use or are considering it, yadda yadda. The point is, why tip every single last card to your opponent until it’s absolutely necessary??

It's long been said that the Sunni and Shia hate one another more than they hate us. I've had a couple of Muslim drinking buddies in the past but they were far from devout so I'm not sure how much the conventional wisdom can be trusted.
Pakistan is mostly Sunni, right?

It appears to be the miracles of Muhammad. I have no idea why it was posted ITT. I have read them before and recognize Muhammad and miracles in the text but the word "miracle" really means something more like wonders. Jesus had useful miracles like being able to feed a bunch of people that showed up unexpectedly and turning water into wine, also useful for unexpected arrivals. Muhammad had useless stuff like bugs didn't sit on him, his sweat smelled good, and he didn't scare animals. The bug shite would be good in SELA, though.
