says he was expecting tucker to ask aggressive hard hitting questions and he was ready for them. but he didn't get to respond the way he wanted because the questions were too mild:

Given this is Putin, a scene from Blankman comes to mind.

Reporter - “Mr Manelli, are you involved in organized crime?”

Manelli - “No, far from it. I’m a legitimate businessman.”

News editor - “I harder hitting than that!”

Reporter - “Mr Manelli, are you gay?”

Trolling the left with the Biden comments. Trolling the right with these comments about Tucker.

Putin was going to unload against how Brandon and state justice departments are meeting with people of his justice department who are suing Trump and trying to jail Trump and financially destroy Trump which amounts to election interference but Tucker deprived Putin his chance.

So sorry Putin maybe next time.

Putin's specialty is psy-ops. It is unwise to allow his statements to evoke any immediate impression or response because he is a manipulator.

Considering how Putin has not been available for interviews by western journalists for years, I would assume that Tucker's questions were screened in advance of the interview. If that is correct, then what game is it to say that you would have preferred tougher questions?

In Tucker's interview, Putin was allowed to basically say whatever he wanted for as long as he wanted. He could have said anything. Tucker certainly didn't try to limit or control the interview at all.

Putin's comments on this have no actual value.

Who are all the "western journalists" who have wanted to interview Putin "for years" to whom you are aware he's refused their request?

Right. Putin allowed Tucker to press him about a jailed journalist and repeatedly ask him why he invaded Ukraine, interrupting his long monologues.

Biden would never sit for that interview, and Putin is wondering why all the softball questions…. Reality is something in 2024

I would bet good money that Tucker was specifically told he had to keep it mild to get the interview...

So now Putin can say "they weren't tough at all, I was prepared to be challenged"

And then he never gives any interview to anyone that will challenge him

It was soft, but Tucker had no cover if things went wrong because he knew he's on his own with this administration

This right here. You dont go into the capital of a wartime country and start slinging shite. You be respectful and grateful for the opportunity and treat it as such. Test the waters where you can during the questioning and dont push it.

Which is why the interview was pointless. Tucker and his fans are treating it like some type of great achievement in journalism, but it was a waste of time. He wasnt going to grill him, and Putin didn't say anything he hasn't said before.
