Yes and in response to the scare of the Mig-25s capabilities when it was built, the US responded with a fighter that outperformed it in the F-15. Same ol paper tiger every few decades.

A Russian ship was doing live fire drills in the English Channel the day after the new UK Prime Minister was sworn in to office. They have been doing other harassment tactics towards the UK this year also. All I’m saying is Europe is weak and Putin knows it. He doesn’t fear anyone in Europe. The only country he really respects in the United States. He knows we are busy in the Middle East right now. He has heard our media screaming about how low of key munitions we are. He has heard Trump say he wants to “low key it” when it comes to Iran. He knows Trump doesn’t want to do do any kind of major fighting until the midterms are over if at all. You start mixing all these factors together and a guy like Putin could talk himself into attacking NATO because all these factors led him to think he can attack NATO and get away with it. Is he likely to do it? No. But I don’t think the possibility can be totally discounted as some kind of crazy thought that will never happen either.

Good posts today on this. Ukraine has basically been a NATO operation the past few years. I wouldn't be shocked to see Russia lob something at a drone factory somewhere in NATOstan.

Drones? We had drones over New Jersey and New York and elsewhere for weeks in 2024. Shoot them down. Like USSR did the U-2 and Gary Powers and we probably did to them during the Cold War.

Agree with you! Depending on what you click on, the worst I saw was since his attack on Ukraine, there have been 450K deaths and 1.4 Million casualties and there is serious unrest going on with the Russian people. Have you looked at the lines for gasoline across Russia? We're not talking an hour or two, we are talking days waiting in many cases and this of course has had terrible effects on delivering goods to stores, etc. not to mention the loss of love ones that so many have experienced. No one can guess just what Putin can do now to cover his terrible decisions!

Poland and Finland will not negotiate the Baltics away. Poland could probably beat Russia on its own.
