In. Zero vacations and somehow managed to avoid the rona all together. O (RH-) blood type seems to have helped me avoid it.

I’m sure you say this tongue in cheek, but truth be told, there was enough external pressure to “comply or else” that those that didn’t were risking losing their job, being ostracized from the general public, and jail in some cases. For us, it was lots of research and the willingness to stand on what we believed to be right regardless of the outcome. In other words, hell yea, I’m a pure blood and so are my wife and kids.

I sometimes think about donating blood, then remember all the times we were vilified. Why should they get our blood?
