I've posted this picture before.

I've had a Trump sign in my window at my apartment since July.

I just got an e-mail telling me to remove it at my earliest convenience. I know for a fact there are multiple Biden signs hanging in windows throughout the complex. I seriously doubt this is listed in my lease agreement.

What should I do?

Update:

I asked them to clarify their stance. The e-mail I received was this:

Hey Poncho Villa,
We do not allow political signs on patios, windows, the grass, balconies, or anywhere on our properties where it can be publicly seen. Any signs spotted will be either taken down or your neighbor will be given a heads up. This is not a target to any particular party as we are addressing all political signs. We do understand that you would like to support the presidential election, however, it cannot be displayed anywhere on the outside of your unit.

Read your lease agreement. If you don't have it, ask them for it and the specific provision that would disallow the sign (hint: there probably isn't one)

Just tell them that you will when the Biden signs are out as well. Until then, lick my balls.

Go take pics of the Biden signs with unit #s attached and send to the office. But check your lease agreement as well to see if there are any prohibitions against things like that....my guess is that there probably is not explicit prohibition.

It most likely listed in your lease agreement. Something along the lines of no political or controversial displays.

"So that we may all be proud of the community appearance, please keep your patio, balcony, breezeway
or entryway uncluttered and free of trash. Do not hang clotheslines or clothes/linens over
patios/balconies. Decorative party lights (other than for holidays), decals, political flags and posters of
any kind are not allowed. The US Flag may be flown on holidays and then removed immediately
following the holiday. Seasonal flags that do not exceed 48” x 48” may be flown in conjunction with
patio decorations. Any flag deemed unsightly by Village Management will not be permitted.

Read your lease again, if nothing is there ignore the email
If you get a 2nd notice note apartments that have Biden signs & let management know you will remove yours once the others are removed

Seems like that would be freedom of speech but they may have something in lease about signs / flags

Poster = sign

Although in the window is not

I would confirm others got the same email, not just you
Once others are gone take yours down
