I just sold off some of my most risky investments with the little bump the market had today. Sold a lot a few months ago when the stock market went crazy, but held on to a little bit of it. Obviously I have my investments that I'll hold. I don't see this going well and feels like we're going to continue seeing more risk off because of the numbers we're seeing, like the ones you listed. I'd also imagine more rate hikes are coming. Although, knowing how these things go, I'll probably regret it.
Feels like something has to give and if I'm a little early, so be it. If it turns out I'm completely wrong, then I still have my investments to carry me and can be a lot more selective about where to put my cash.
It's hard to feel confident in the direction of things when the president and this administration are trying to hand out money and buy votes despite how bad things are looking.
He's the perfect example of "elect a clown, expect a circus".

Some of those are over Biden levels and some are quickly approaching Biden levels. What a disaster.

Are you taking the $21T in tariffs into account?

But yea we can totally wait until after midterms to end the Iran war and then hand out $5K to everyone!
CPI report: Prices rose 3.4% in August, matching inflation expectations as the Fed weighs hiking
BTW, 30-year mortgage rates crossed over 7% yesterday and we have a new record of home sellers vs home buyers with a 58% gap. Inventory is no longer the excuse.
Well I think we can all agree we need to slash the Fed Funds rate, that'll bring down inflation, or not.

10 year was trending to under 4% before the war. Would have had one rate cut already probably if he doesn't pull this shite. Now the 10 year is heading towards 5%
This has a greater impact on the economy than anything. The dumb frick starting another winless war in the Middle East destroyed his second term.

If Trump called SDVCuck and told him to become a Trans Homosexual pedophile he would do it. That is how much of a sycophant SDVCuck is.

Buckle up for more.... Just saw the Houthis are making moves on the other strait in the area and if they do, it basically shuts off SA's oil exports.
quote:
The Iran-backed Houthis reportedly advanced to Yemen’s strategic Perim Island on Friday, delivering a major boost to the militant group’s push to take control of one of the world’s most important shipping choke points.
The capture of Perim Island, which was reported by several news agencies, citing multiple Yemeni government sources, comes just one day after the Houthis seized Yemen’s port city of Mokha on the Red Sea coast. CNBC could not independently confirm the report.
The rapid ground offensive is seen as a severe setback to Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni forces it backs and puts Iran and its proxies on course to exercise control over two critically important oil choke points on either side of the Arabian Peninsula: the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz.

Exactly this. The historic inflation rate is 3.29%.

The Saudis need to put some of their money where their mouth is and help us and themselves in a meaningful way. No more sitting on the sidelines just making phone calls.

You need to see those numbers before determining if the OP's numbers are bad?
Do the negatives of Trump 2.0 and Congress mean we need to go with Newsom?
I know we have the midterms coming up before that, but I won’t pretend to know what all shitbirds are running in them.
What are we talking about here? What should we take from these numbers?
With y’all not offering up anything, simply saying Biden was worse is decently fine commentary.

And you think the Democrats will make that better?
Low IQ has been a go-to on this board, and this is a really low IQ and weak argument.
No longer being able to support Trump doesn't mean that you start voting Democrat. It means that you tell yourself and whoever else you feel like telling that you can no longer support Trump. If you feel strongly enough about it, call your Congressional field office and tell them "I voted for Trump 3 times but…" Find a candidate for 2028 and back that guy.
