Posted on 9/11/26 at 9:03 am
Fuel Oil: +52.0%
Gasoline: +27.4%
Gas Utilities: +4.4%
Electricity: +3.8%
Apparel: +3.6%
Overall CPI: +3.4%
Food away from home: +3.4%
Shelter: +3.0%
Medical Care: +2.5%
Transportation: +2.4%
Food at home: +2.2%
New Cars: +0.6%
Used Cars: -2.3%
But yea we can totally wait until after midterms to end the Iran war and then hand out $5K to everyone!
CPI report: Prices rose 3.4% in August, matching inflation expectations as the Fed weighs hiking
BTW, 30-year mortgage rates crossed over 7% yesterday and we have a new record of home sellers vs home buyers with a 58% gap. Inventory is no longer the excuse.

something has to give. either the whole system crashes or or we have more massive government intervention. neither of which are good options. i've all but given up trying to buy a house again.

Fake numbers, Trump told me the economy has never been better but if anything looks bad it’s Bidens fault.

it's all so disappointing. i thought for sure trump would work hard to bring down energy, but he got duped into blowing up the ME. really good stuff.

What was Joey Biden's numbers during that exact same time period?
Posted on 9/11/26 at 9:10 am to 1999
10 year was trending to under 4% before the war. Would have had one rate cut already probably if he doesn't pull this shite.
Now the 10 year is heading towards 5%

It’s really getting hard to make the case with this economic picture
We might eventually bring Iran to their knees but at what cost?

… but what about the price of eggs?
Posted on 9/11/26 at 9:18 am to stout
They should raise the rates that will cut the cost of oil!
Although the bond market might enjoy a hike by Warsch

Its already cost us too much... 18 dead soldiers, 10s of billions in tax dollars, 1.50 more a gallon gas for 6 months, and inflation problems.
Remember when we obliterated all of their nuclear capabilities in Midnight Hammer? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
