I hope it's not too late, but she did a good job in explaining the situation in a friendly interview:

Its ashame the media ran with the China answer, after she gave a much longer answer that couldn't be heard over the helicopter blades turning.

The media had tribes in the jungles questioning her qualifications.

Why would I post this if I wanted Trump to fail?

I think it was a bad idea to hire a new press secretary (especially one of Zacharia’s limited background) this close to the midterms. Funneling questions through the President and senior advisors seemed like a much better strategy.

Zacharia had an unprecedentedly bad start. There was no reason to put her in front of the cameras so unprepared. Then she lied about the bar.

I thought she should have put out a statement saying she had failed the bar ASAP. I'm glad she finally did something.

She's still going to get ROASTED by the press. She violated the Hatch Act at the very beginning of her briefing. The "lawyer" v "attorney" dodge is cute, but legally it doesn't make a difference...PLUS, she has referred to herself as an ATTORNEY who practiced corporate law. The President, understandably, took her word and referred to her as an attorney.

I thought she did as good a job as possible in this interview.

I guess it could be like a just curious type of question, but is it common for press secretaries to be licensed attorneys?

There isn't a shortage of attorneys in the USA.

If she was an actual lawyer anywhere in the world, whoever filed the bar complaint should be sanctioned for filing a frivolous case. Unfortunately it's Commiefornia so there will be no accountability.

Never would've guessed that she would grow up to be Press Secretary

I think my reasoning was sound. Based on her start, her appointment as press secretary was MUCH worse than not having a press secretary.

I am objective. She did as good as job as possible in this friendly interview. I don't know why she tried to hide the fact that she had failed the California bar.

We'll see what happens when she actually faces reporters. She is NOT quick on her feet when it comes to answering questions. Maybe they can game plan around that.

Yes. The strategy, apparently, is to say that she was told she could call herself "a lawyer"...and that she would be ok if she didn't call herself an "attorney."

We know that's an immaterial distinction, but it's not even true. She has referred to herself as an attorney AND she has represented that she "practiced corporate law."

She was selected because of her figure, her hair, and her gleaming white teeth.

This is such a non story.

Kayleigh McEnany is the only one that I remember. She had an impressive academic background. More important, she had experience in jobs similar to the press secretary. She was OUTSTANDING.

Zacharia has very little relevant experience. Watching her so far, I would be shocked if she did well in Moot Court in law school.
