Loser think. Israel is perfectly willing to act on their own (Osirak, anyone?) when feckless US administrations don't do shite.
You could use the recent example of the Houthis fricking up the gulf of Aden, EFPs killing and maiming thousands of US personnel, but yeah, it was the Jews that got us here. The IRGC and the Ayatollahs have always been the problem.
What did Israel have to do with us running Earnest Will where the US Navy had to escort tankers in the 80s? Protecting tankers from the Iraqis? No, the Iranians. What did Israel have to do with embassy bombings in Africa, the Khobar tower bombings, kidnappings, killings, etc.? Nothing.

This is just as reliable as the word "panican" to alert me to the fact that the poster on the other end of it is an idiot.

You were bitching when Biden did it after Ukraine. Hypocrite.

I hate Congress
Honestly it would be smart to use the SPR in ways to stabilize oil markets. Market goes high temporarily due to say conflict in ME, release the oil at high prices in order to lower prices. Oil prices craters due to low demand where it hurts oil companies, pay to fill SPR cheaply to help increase prices. Govt makes profit off strategy

Edit: I checked my history, I do not see any post I made about Biden during that time.
Oh you mean when Biden did it for political purposes to artificially deflate prices for the upcoming election. vs. Trump doing it now for the very purpose of why we have such a reserve?

Your post was downvoted by OP and his alter. You've been Ragin Cajuned lol. Dude makes these weekly O&G digest threads but then gets mad at opposing views that are bad for truck nut baws. I once had to explain the concept of Energy Independence to him, then later about the importance of the USD remaining the petrodollar. You should have been around here in 2022 when OP was sucking Biden off for stiff regulations on Big Oil and practically sucking the Potato's potato on draining the reserves monthly.
Well bless him.

Trump would be doing it for war efforts
For a war we started.
About nuclear capability.
After abandoning an international deal, with which they were compliant, capping their uranium enrichment at 3.5%…
To try and pressure them into a more restrictive deal only two years in.
If you horribly butcher international diplomacy & then strike first to start a war, you don’t get to use war as an excuse.

Israel can't fly directly there, not over Syria or Jordan, so they're going south over Saudi Arabia then north. And the Saudi's are not going to let Israel go hog wild like we did. Israel got a blind eye from them to help weaken the Shia, not decimate their country, just to weaken Iran which helps the Saudi's out. And they can't fall back to boots on the ground, nor do they have abundant aerial refueling, and they don't have the amount of weaponry that we've been continuing to use.
Without US this level of attack would have been impossible for Israel. And anything that goes no for weeks would have left them extremely vulnerable to a second or third front attack. Until ultimately they'd be the one's waving nuclear capacities around. They needed us for a war otherwise it would have been hit them hard and let's go home.

Biden did it and but sent the oil elsewhere. That’s the difference.

So, can’t use the SPR for the war in Ukraine Russia started because it was a mid term election year, but we can use the SPR for a war Trump started in a mid term election year?

So many just don't understand the SPR. It is part of a reserve system to include Europe by treaty before it was built. The SPR also leases space to oil companies for storage. It may have done that in 2020 when oil companies were looking at any tank to hold oil to keep from stopping production.
The SPR contain two grades of crude oil by law, the equivalents of Louisiana Light Sweet and Light Sour. These are perfect for refineries configured to pre 1980 crude sources. Most of these refineries were demolished in the 1980's and early 90s in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois and East Coast. Others were demolished and replaced with new equipment in the 1990s and 2000s
The SPR is a psychological thing for trading markets as the equivalent of a few ships per day can be released due pumping capacities and safety for the salt caverns. The SPR location back of Addis, LA had a cavern collapse after being drawn down in 1992 no different than what happened at Bayou Corne several years ago.
Most of the SPR release in 2022 went to foreign buyers. The same thing will happen this time.
