For a working family with two kids: that’s $500 or more on the 15th of every month this year.

Most working families will receive automatic payments – no sign ups needed, all you need to do is make sure you’ve filed your taxes. Folks who don’t make enough to be required to file taxes can get these benefits too.

I always knew there was a segment of the US population that liked to sit on their asses but never knew this many Americans were so damn worthless. They would rather watch Maury and eat Cheetos in their Section 8 housing than try to better themselves and their children. Now this mindset is taking over middle class.

Still, I have no problem with this. We cheered when Trump increased it to $2,000/kid — I’m not going to bitch about Biden increasing it to $3k or $3.6k a kid. Just adjust your withholding slightly to keep your tax bill close to zero each year.
The problem I would have is if it’s increased more going forward. We can’t just keep paying poor girls to get knocked up, though I’d rather see them have the baby than to abort it.

This isn't going to stop. Democrats are getting Americans hooked on that free money.

If I remember correctly, they increased the Child Tax Credit and the increase is what is being doled out in these monthly payments.

The thing is the person never lost their job during the pandemic and isn't well off but is making bank on all the handouts. They work enough and the family income is under 80k but they also don't have any big bills as most was given to them
