FYI, the EU is in large part based on the federal example set by.....the United States
Brussels is completely insulated from the voters. They have zero control over what the EU does, or doesn’t do.
The EU is also destabilizing member states. See Spain and the UK.

If by "break it off" you mean put severe sanctions on them then I guess you would be right.
Wait so your position is that we wouldn’t respond with force to the military invasion of a NATO country?
That’s completely unfounded and not even worth addressing.

please go on and explain to the class how we stay out of the Second World War.
It's impossible. American has to participate in every world conflict or risk being called an isolationist by midwits.
You got me.

The middle and working classes of America subsidize European welfare states because we pay for the defenses they themselves should be paying for. We do this because it's essentially a taxpayer subsidy to defense contractors and the MIC.

Sure is Joe.
By the way, how much taxpayer dollars will this little endeavor cost us?
What am I saying? No price is too high to ensure this.
Won't cost Joe or Hunter any money. They'll get a nice "finder's fee" though.

It absolutely is, and that has chainlink effect on the rest of the continent, nullifying the primary arguments for it.

Wrong. They are NATO allies and we would break it off in Russia’s arse if they moved into the Baltic states.
I am a believer of "bust a deal, face the wheel", but it's going to take some stones to engage in any type of armed conflict with a nuke-armed Russia over the illegal annexation of a land area the size of South Carolina on the other side of the world, and I don't need to hear about Hitler, Chamberlain and the notion that appeasement is an acceptable solution, this is a different bear we're talking about.

Not a crawfish. You're right. Every conflict has to involve American blood, treasure, and autonomy. It's unavoidable. History is written in advance. The fate of nations if you will. I saw it on the History Channel.

Then let the Europeans figure it out. The consternation amongst some Americans over the mere existence of the EU, of which the US is not a member, and has no role in governing, is hilarious to me.
If the EU was bad for Europe it wouldn’t exist. They want it to exist. The UK wanted out, now it’s out. The internal politics of it is about as relevant to the United States and the Windsor family.

The list of these partners is extremely long.

My position is that any politician who supports sending American kids to die to stop Russia from invading Latvia or Estonia should be immediately voted out of office and then tarred and feathered.

Never said that once. You however said that we could have easily stayed out of both worlds wars.
I’m just waiting to be educated on how we could have stayed out of the second one.
FYI- it is my belief that WW2 was the last legitimate military conflict we have participated in. Our involvement in any of the wars since has been baseless and contrary to our interests

Good for you. Hopefully more Americans and Europeans see it differently in the future.
