Just received a call from a friend in Utah....stated they got a call from farmer/friend who owns huge amounts of land that grows wheat/barley, etc.

Said a possible railroad strike is coming next week on the 16th and could have major impact on the nation's food supply and other things to say the least.

A strike was averted earlier this summer, but the threat of it has resurfaced.

FYI....Delta Air Lines pilots are threatening to strike over staff shortages and other things, too. Same issues affecting the railroad industry.

I heard some rail workers union rep quoted on Real America’s Voice say that 2-4% pay raises ain’t gonna cut it when real inflation is running well over 10% annually. Them baws are wanting an immediate pay raise of 10% and then they’ll talk about annual pay raises…lol!

I bet they don't.

It's not even about the money vs having to work all of their off days because they refuse to replace the unvaccinated.

I mentioned this a couple of months ago.

I have close friends who work for BNSF and it is bad .

Sure railroaders get good pay and retirement but they cannot keep the newly hired staff. Why ?

There are two main reasons. First is that have not had a contract for like 3 or more years. Yes they want more pay ,who doesn't ?
Second I am told they only get one day off per month. Not allowed to schedule a doctor's visit and some have missed funerals of close direct relatives.

The only reason that they have not go on strike already is that a federal judge has forbidden them too.
Something will break .

St Croix is beautiful but you can run the water and tap it endlessly if it makes this administration suck further

Sounds like Joe & Buttguy shouldn't have fired the unvaccinated.
How utterly idiotic is this administration?
Never mind, don't even answer.
I expect it to get much worse.

Whenever this administration does something totally and utterly fricking stupid, ask if it is possible they could do anything worse if they were trying to do so.
