And it’s a Republican President and Republican Congress doing it. Unbelievable.
I am sick.
You have nothing to worry about man. The dems will not accept just that and they will add so many amendments to the bill in the Senate that it will never pass the House. Then when it fails POTUS and the GOP will be able to blame the dems because Trump is "on record as supporting common sense gun control," but the dems will be on record as voting against "common sense gun control."

What gun(s) of yours are they coming for or which ones will you no longer be able to have based on that tweet? I’m just curious

Raising the age to 21...
So... you can join the military and go to foreign lands, meet exotic people and kill them with your M16 at the age of 18, but you won’t be able to buy an AR 15 until you’re 21? Also, you get to vote on this legislation at the age of 18, but you’re s.o.l. until 21 and can’t even drink to your success or lack thereof until you’re 21 (except in some states that’ll sell you beer only at 19). I’m confused.

They need to just raise everything to 21.

You can't ask people to enlist in the military at age 18 but at the same time prevent them from owning any guns until they are 21. Someone in his administration needs to shed some light on that ridiculousness.

Keep in mind... other than the democrats, there are only a few domestic groups that actually do want to see the general public disarmed:

“They” just need to raise everything to 21.
See...that’s part of the problem. It’s not “they” or “them”. It’s you and me,the citizen/voter. We control that stuff. Frankly,I think the age to purchase alcohol or weed ought to be up to the individual states and the manner in which each state chooses to regulate it. The age at which one should be eligible to exercise the
franchise and vote in elections ought to be the same in all states (except Florida where I’m not sure anyone should be allowed near a polling place).

Raising the minimum purchase age to 21 would not stand up in court. Raising the age limit would infringe upon legal adults ability to excercise their second ammendment rights.

I have a real problem with the mental health angle. The law had better be real damn specific about what mental health issues/medications will keep you from exercising your 2A right.
I have been prescribed anti-depressants before as a preventative med for migraines. I can see them adding something like that to the lis, and I am not a danger to anything except a bag of Cheetos.
I have a feeling that psychologists and psychiatrists are going to go out of business. Millions will refuse to go even for mundane stuff.

I think that you are wrong on this 1. The Dems are in this 1 for the long haul and understand that this is a war that will be waged 1 battle at a time. They will accept this and keep digging until eventually they get what they want

Like they did with immigration?
Speaking of that, the daca deadline that was worth closing down the government over last month is a week from Monday...

IMO, the whole "mental health" thing is a huge slippery slope. When the shitlibs take power again, they'll change tge definition of mental illness to include racism, transphobia, etc.
This. OK with the bump stock ban. That’s it.
Posted on 2/23/18 at 6:03 am to SEC Alum
The Reps should add their immigration restrictions to this legislation.

Dems aren’t in position to insist on anything. They should be happy with whatever they get. I hate that the GOP is caving in to this. WEAK.
Since when have the Democrats voted for anything Trump has wanted? Hell, the best way to get rid of sanctuary cities would be for Trump to come out and say he supports them.
