So basically degrees that practically guarantee you a job upon graduating are to the right. Makes sense. I don't believe for a second "education" is more or less middle of the road.

It is no coincidence that Finance, Accounting, and Business are conservative. They understand the math of socialism and social programs. Their motto is "so where is this money going to come from?"

For Engineers the Poli Index looks correct, slightly right of center. No BS types, and call out the BS from BOTH sides.
IRT Religion, I would flip that mark to below middle. They focus on proofs with math & science, and from my son, his peers, and the ENG pro's my age they are not overly religious. Just my experience with those I know in the profession.

ETA - But I see confirmation of why my field (Computer Science) has taken a hit.
In the 70's - early 2000's, the field was clearly right leaning, except for the most ardent academics. Especially true for those who were in the business world and/or became entrepreneurs.
Now, it's been infested by progressives and is clearly on the left.
Oh well, 5 more years, is all I ask.
