Political "Cooldown" in the coming years after Trump

Had a conversation with a friend about Politics, we are both hard/staunch conservatives and she asked me a question that got me thinkin'..and apologies if this has so happened to be discussed already or beatin a dead horse here with this but:
"Do you think that once Donald Trump leaves office after this term, the political landscape will cooldown some time afterwards?".
My answer was that I optimistically hope so, but realistically it may not. My point being that there has been a third attempt on the sitting President, the unhinged, mentally ill lunatic Democrats (and the Right's got some nuts too) aren't just gonna dissappear outta thin air, and the fact that with Trump maybe paving the way for a continuation of "Trumpist" policy in new candidates and leadership may continue this hate fueled machine on the opposite side of the aisle. Plenty more reasons as to why it may very well not "cool down" per se, but man I remember growing up where Politics were surely a thing but I just feel (and maybe recency bias speaking here) that everything since 2016 has become hyper-politicized in almost every fashion of life.
Do you think there will eventually be some sort of return to a generalized civil discourse of politics one day where that is more closer to the norm than the exception, or do you think it is only down hill from here?

No. Social media and information siloes have pushed regular people into tribal camps.
That can be stoked and manipulated by misinformation and disinformation campaigns and that won’t stop anytime soon.
The next big political fight will be UBI and taxation due to AI and automation.
Interestingly enough, there’s probably enough common ground for leftist ideologues and blue collar MAGA bros to agree on the issues around UBI, but the tech bros will throttle and stifle the online debate and information exchange because they will be the ones being taxed more heavily.
Gonna be fascinating to see the populism of the next 30 years.

Nope
If Dems win it’ll be revenge tour 2028

frick, no. People think this started with Trump. Does anyone remember how they treated Gee Dub? And he was as establishment and RINO as it gets.
The next Republican prez will be the next Hitler to the Reddit revolutionaries and trust fund radicals.

Dems are existential threat. They must be dealt with accordingly.

Not a chance. The leftist/globalists are fully committed to their agenda of destroying this country. The problem is most on the right are actual hard-working American's that make this country run and care much more about providing for their families than going nutso on some crazy political agenda. They also still can't believe that leftists would really want to kill this country but the left will eventually go too far and once the average American realizes that they have nothing to lose because they can't afford their own family anymore then watch out.
We are heading towards a powder keg moment probably within the next 25 years. Maybe sooner if the left wins the White House and gains control of the House and Senate at the same time again. Don't think that can't happen. Our elections are 100% rigged to some level in every state in America and the sorry arse GOP still refuses to pass an act that would at least help do something about it.

No, if and when the dems get back in office, they'll be out for blood.

Eventually yes, everything is cyclical. The majority of people who aren’t hyper political will eventually tire of this. You can already see some small cracks just from reading this board over the past month.

Yes, once the Dems have power again they will tell us all to "cool down the rhetoric" as they work hard to make the USA and the Globe safe and welcoming for Trans Kids.

It will calm down a lot. Think about how most republican politicians are. They are cucked and never fight back against anything meaningful. Most of these republican politicians are weak and will fold for almost anything.

Yell at the clouds, angry man.
Most of us don’t care.

The democrats will go in for the kill at the first opportunity.

this is my fear even as someone who is currently a Democrat. It is so obvious so much of what Trump does is to get revenge on anyone who crosses him, and to piss off anyone who disagrees with him and his supporters eat it up.
Well, if you do that for 8 total years, the other side is waiting in the wings to have their own revenge and it will never end.

Trump is anything but cyclical. He is a disrupter. The rules are different for people like him.

It depends. If the person who succeeds Trump is another outsider who isn't controlled by the corrupt political system then there won't be a "cooling down." OTOH, if the person who succeeds Trump is either a Democrat or a John Thune Establishment hack Republican, then you will see a "cooling down."
I don't want a cooling down for all the wrong reasons.

If it's Ron DeSantis he will go after the dems just like Trump has.

Until heads roll and people go to prison on the blue side. That cult of hateful degenerates are going to not only not cooldown- they are going to continue to ramp it up. They are going to try and debank us, deplatform us, put us in camps, freeze our retirements and basically force us out of the job market if we don't comply. The evil isn't stopping - its only going to get worse.
