They'll probably need to hire someone to return the calls of all those "ambulance-chasing" lawyers out there!

He violated the first rule of weapons safety. Never point your weapon that you don’t intend to destroy/kill (note didn’t watch video going off accounts via the thread).

And from a tactical standpoint I wouldn’t fully expose myself nor my weapon if answering my front door

I feel stupid, I hade to look cartilage up. He opened the door and confronted them rapidly with gun pointed. Pretty stupid. Hunker down inside and defend. You have the significant advantage and at can yell outside for identification.

Homeowners aren't required to do taxpayer funded training on what to do when the police show up in the middle of the night and scare the shite out of them. Cops, on the other hand, are trained how not to shoot innocent people.

I assume he was intending to destroy trespassers. Nothing about that is wrong.

He's in his home, the cops were fricked up from the start.

There's no defending this.

He's a homeowner.

One party was privy to training that should prevent stuff like this from happening. Guess which party it was?

Frick that.
Police were incompetent in going to wrong house. You just gonna let it slide if they bust in your mom’s door and she comes out with a baseball bat getting ready to defend herself?
No knock raids need to end.

Sounds like something a trespasser would say.

And every state in America. You can’t shoot someone for standing in your yard.

End qualified immunity.

I’m against this. If we end qualified immunity for police, we should end it for all government officials. And that would just lead to a non functioning society because lawyers are arse.

Yeah, what threat was outside the door? You have to identify and then react.

And yeah tactical you silly little bytch. Guess you don’t have multiple combat deployments under your belt. Maybe your COD time makes you an expert.

Did you not see that they knocked on the door and identified themselves BEFORE they realized their mistake?

A spree killer could identify himself as a cop while knocking on your door at 3 AM. Announcing yourself as a police officer while being as covert as possible about your presence (no flashing blue lights) will raise numerous red flags with me at that time of night if I’m the home owner. We excuse incompetence and give police way too much leeway.

Does lawsuits, dismissals, and possible Involuntary Manslaughter charges sound like a walk in the park to you?

If a citizen so much as sneezes in the direction of a cop, they'll be charged with assault on an LEO. And you'd cheer it on. Meanwhile all you want is a slap on the wrist for these murderers. Punishment for cops should be much harsher as they are supposed to be professional. These cops involved need to be executed. The "but I was scared for my life" has reached its limits. The pendulum only swings so far. You're a fricking coward and have zero respect for the 2nd Amendment rights of the home owner.

I actually agree if you think there’s an attempted intruder, it’s much safer to not open the door
yeah I definitely would not have opened the door especially after they said they were police. Yell through the door to see a warrant or GTFO
