Edgar Welch lived in Salisbury NC, then & now.
Alefantis was/is in the DC area, then & now.

I'm saying as part of their twisted set of beliefs, they have to tell you what they're doing/have done. It's a tenet called The Revelation of the Method. When they're not taken to account for whatever they're telling you they've done, it serves as a form of tacit approval and absolves them of any responsibility.

That's up to the individual to determine, but as far as the confessor goes, they've held up their end of the bargain. In their minds, if you didn't stop them, then that's on you.

This is another tenant of the conspiratorial mind that is a logical, similar to the "no evidence is evidence" rhetoric.
This is a self-fulfilling prophecy where they confirm the preconceived beliefs by trying to make the interpreted claims more valid and important by giving it a label. Again this is the proof without evidence other than their own allegations. So now instead of using the lack of evidence as evidence, they're using their own arguments as evidence and shielding it via the colonel of truth that the words were actually stated by the target.
This way they can turn any sort of words, hand gestures, pictures, art etc into proof, without actually having to show any evidence. When this gets even more complicated is whenever their interpretations and assertions conflict with each other which create these multi-layered esoteric expansions of the conspiracy theory in order to not admit their failure to be consistent
ETA: a really good example of this is the alleged white power symbols.

Again, I have yet to see any evidence that the most lurid accusations of child sex rings are true. But there is an overwhelming abundance of evidence that indicates that the social milieu surrounding Comet Pizza was a haven for moral degenerates, if not sickos who openly expressed child rape fantasies.
