Similar story from my HS but after I graduated.

Girl and boy dating and have sex; girl gets pregnant and they file statutory rape charges against him bc he's 18 & she's 17. He has to register as a sex offender.

They are married and have 3 or 4 kids but he's a registered sex offender.

Pretty fricking stupid

Old school sexism.

Apparently they still think that having a hardon means it was consensual on your end.

E cause women play the victim when it works in their favor and they play strong independent women when nobody want to frick them and pay their bills!

It’s pretty simple!

Probably because most males dont have post coitus regret.

Or that males need to be sexually excited to penetrate a female while the opposite is not true.

Females have always been seen as the gatekeepers.

Matriarchy.
Personally, I see it as one of the last vestiges of true sexism remaining in the criminal code.

In this instance, women are simply treated as lacking any agency.

Simple assault vs assault on a female is the same. It's that female privilege.

Women like to have their cake and eat it too.

IDK. But in today's US Military, the law is that no female can consent if she's consumed alcohol.

The males get briefed. If alcohol is involved, there is no possiblity to claim consent for any sex.

I agree with you.

I also think if you get into a car with a drunk driver and get killed or the car kills someone that you share the blame.

Has to be predicated on the male having superior responsibility skills as well as being superior emotionally

Also not voluntary. Just ask Lakeboy7 in the locker room at school before discovering show choir.

I guess they’ve never been a 15 year old boy?

Sexism in legal matters is currently a far bigger problem than racism, IMHO. Especially in the civil arena. It's not as sexy (pun intended) to discuss, because the status quo favors the traditionally "marginalized" gender.

Which, honestly, I don't think is a product of overt misogyny, but rather a relic of times not-so-far-bygone where women, by and large, truly DID lack a significant degree of societal agency. Combine that with traditional male proclivities toward protection of the fairer sex, and the status quo is understandable (yet still untenable, obviously).

The consequences of sex fall significantly more on the woman than on the man.

Studies say a substantial portion of women who are raped get wet and have orgasms. Men/boys who are sexually abused respond similarly. So while the argument you posted is often made and wins the day, it's also false.

When you push their head down for a deepthroat, is that rape?
