I had to buy some nasty arse Mary Lee bread instead of my normal bunny “home style” (formerly known as plantation style) because the store was completely out of bread except nasty arse Mary Lee and those weird arse gluten free breads

It was a baked in problem. But with all sorts of different choices and styles of food, I don’t see how that would end up as bad.

In the short term, it's not a problem.

Personally, I've lived my whole life eating the generic Clover Valley and Great Value brands for the most part. I can do without all the name brand stuff.

When even the generic brands are thin on the shelves though, you're best to already have stocked a pantry full of foods to last a good while.

the closest I get to the french bread I had when younger in NOLA area, was cuban bread from publix. there are no good french breads like there- and I have lived in a lot of places.

If I ever learn to bake I’ll be on the fast track to my 600 lb life. Fresh, hot French bread is something I can’t stop eating

I have to say, the shelves in the store I frequent has never fully recovered from the original shortages of the first Covid19 wave and shutdown. I’m still able to get ample food and home goods but there are a lot of empty shelves, and everything is at a minimum 10-15% higher when compared to pre Covid19 prices.

I’ve received 8 messages & counting from my very polite @Instacart shopper over the last 10 minutes about missing items in the Cascade Rd @Publix. I shopped in Buckhead & Vinings last week and no one else seems to have the supply chain issues we’re experiencing in SW Atlanta.

I visited a Walkons yesterday and ordered some waffle cheese fries……..they came out as regular fries. Waitress said something about a Potato shortage.

Went to sprouts today as well and there were a lot of empty shelves. There wasn’t a damn onion to be found anywhere.

No shite, right?

Ask for French bread and you get a hard arse baguette that you can use as a baseball bat.

Gimme the soft, tasty French bread of Bertinot’s Best, Gambino, or Leidenheimer please.
