Mickey, I’ve read you’re post on this board and you seem like a genuinely good guy. We don’t have much in common politically, definitely not on the economic side I assume. Socially, we’d probably agree more than you think, although I’m a free speech absolutist, anyway, I digress...
What I quoted above is of course to any rational person common sense, but there will come a time where your own tribe will use those very words you typed to hang you. They want you to agree that the only path forward is the total annihilation of your/their political enemy. You will soon find yourself a dissident, a deplorable, wondering what happened.
Appreciate that
Obviously, I hope you're wrong in your prediction of what is coming. I'm sure you hope you are wrong as well.

"Trump is close to Hitler."
When people lack critical thinking skills & forget, or never even learn about, history.
Arrogance combined with ignorance is bad enough, but when you through in self-righteousness you've got a very deadly mix.

I, Mickey Goldmill, hereby condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the comments made by the PBS Chief Counsel.
Where's the evidence?

My favorite part about that video is the fact that he's so mild mannered looking. He's not dressed in Black Bloc, he's not wild eyed screaming at a cop, he doesn't have blue hair and a Hammer& sickle tattoo (visible), etc.
He's also not the right wing version of the crazy, violent fanatic either.
He looks like a High School Principal, or your accountant, or an older and not fanatical college professor. He looks NORMAL...on the outside.
And yet, his views are abhorrent and what he's advocating, coldly, is terrifying. What it ought to do is worry anyone even close to the middle and right, because it's clear that far more people on the left apparently feel this way then the obvious crazies.
The issue with this guy is he feels above the violence and destruction he advocates, as do many liberals. They expect and would depend on the 'muscle' like Antifa and BLM to 'throw molotovs at the White House' or round up Trump supporters for his camps. He wouldn't have the balls to do this himself, partly because he sees this as beneath him. And if he stays removed from the actual dirty work it dehumanizes those 'evil Trump supporters.'
One thing that's ironic about social media is that instead of connecting people it has removed the interpersonal aspect of interaction with other folks. It's easy to advocate for violence against others when you have never met them and allows people to say things they would never do so to someone in person.
Throw in the changes to things due to C19, from shopping to school to everyday gathering of people in public places and there are less and less connections for people.

Wrong. This kind of talk won't be tolerated. I just wish everyone who had these feelings toward either side could be outed quicker
