Adam Dean Hoffman's plea agreement with Attorney General Ken Paxton was originally for 30 days in jail. A Waco visiting judge doubled that sentence to 60 days. Hoffman was released Monday May 25th, 2026 after being sentenced on April 27th, 2026

Community members have expressed frustration over the outcome of the case.
"It's just a total miscarriage of justice to know that our attorney general's office can, can do these kinds of things," State Representative Pat Curry said.
"The sick part is, is that he didn't, there is no penalty. He admitted to the crime of having sex with a child," said Rep. Curry.

“Think about this kiddo and what this kid went through at age 8, and 9, and 10,” Cotlar said during the closing arguments, later adding, “He’s not lying, and you know that because he’s so specific.”

Dude had sex with a boy for 3 years and got out with a slap on the wrist and is still licensed to practice law.
Not a good look for Paxton.

Paxton had zero to do with this case.

Do you even see who is running against Paxton?
Posted on 6/1/26 at 3:45 pm to udtiger
Why does the article reference him then?

If you think Texans are going to look on the other side of the ticket, see that closeted soy boy Talarico, and vote for she/her over Paxton over this, you are delusional.

Here are some facts about the case:
The case was tried and resulted in a hung jury.
Then the victim refused to testify again.
Attorneys who are employed by the state of Texas offered the initial deal and accepted the final deal without Paxton's personal involvement.

I mean it's a pretty serious accusation if his office let this guy off on such a slap on the wrist plea deal

If he had no personal involvement then that obviously changes everything
I would like to know who actually was involved that allowed a deal this favorable to the defendent.

It's like he's so hopeful that it COULD happen, though.

If this story has you upset, you're really gonna be hating life when you find out the sort of animals that blue city DA's propped up by George Soros have been letting loose on the streets.

KP wasnt involved in this case, but I know you wont acknowledge that shite. Let's just say if your party had someone other than a pedo-muppet running against him, your concerns might have some validity.

the case went to trial last year but ended in a hung jury, and the young victim did not want to testify a second time.
“The child emphasized that he preferred to move on with his life and prioritize his mental and emotional health,” wrote the prosecutors, Brenda Cantu and Dorian Cotlar.
Seems like they didn't have a lot of choice. They had already tried it once and didn't have a witness if they went to trial.

There was a mistrial. When it went to trial again, the boy decided he did not want to go through it again, so Paxton had no choice to cut a deal. Without the boy testifying, a conviction was impossible.

Because it’s the Texas tribune which is a Marxist propaganda rag

The absolute delusion some of you have is unreal, pathetic, disgusting, etc.

YOU would like to know? I am sure they will get right to it but you are more concerned with some random case than the politician who supports gender affirming surgery which has destroyed countless numbers of lives in the US. Your concerns are laughable per usual

It was the Office of the Texas Attorney General that negotiated the deal in a high profile case. The audacity to claim Paxton knew nothing about it is pathetic. But continue to lie to yourselves. It’s Cult 101 behavior.
