Did not know her when she went to UF but never heard anything. Knew her for 30 years in Tampa and not a hint of anything

The left is having a cow about this saying she will be more effective - so I’m all on board

A Democrat who ran against her was just on CNN saying she is great. After she beat him in the election she hired him as Drug Czar when Republicans were telling her not to. He said she is the best you are going to get from a Trump picked AG for Democrats. I don't know about this pick

It sounds like she is competent within her sphere of performing that job, but won't be a transformational pick.
A lot rides on the FBI now.

Trump likes people from Florida and people who are on Fox often and she fits both of those criteria. Plus she is a Trump loyalist. .

Doing the opposite of what the republicans tell you is a plus in my book. They suck

Maybe the dust up from the Gaetz’s nomination helps clear the way for Bondi’s nomination.
Maybe it helped take focus off other nominations.

Florida and Texas both have strong benches for nominees. A lot of qualified people.
Seems like Trump is sticking with Florida folks if he can help it. Im ok with it. Neocons have a lot of power in Texas.

shite like this drives me nuts. Who is to say if any pick would be transformative. All you can do is sit back and see what happens.
This Government is so fricked any change would be good.
January 20 is coming, we will know if this is good or not in the next 18 months.

Democrats get control again in 2028
They’ll be in control of one of if not both the house and senate in 2026. They will run out the clock in these two years because the uniparty is alive and well. DC corruption is not getting stopped.

So she hired another highly qualified lawyer and had enough confidence in her position to hire her opponent for said position? Sounds like she's probably actually be a competent head of the DoJ instead of someone who was undoubtedly going to have an axe to grind like Gaetz.

They may get the house in the midterms, especially if the Trump administration makes good on some promises that sound good on paper to their base but will be unpopular in practice to the broader public.
It is going to be 2028 or later before the Dems can hope to have the senate back. In 2026: Roy Cooper may be able to beat Thom Tillis in North Carolina. Though I think it is probable that Ossoff could be defeated in Georgia with a better candidate. Hard to project this far out but the class 2 group of senators is favorable to the GOP with a lot of solid seats for each party. Beshear is likely not going to risk his career on McConnell's seat. Maybe he thinks he can beat Rand Paul running as an incumbent after his 2nd gubernatorial term?

Exactly.
Anyone who doesn’t think this was all part of the plan hasn’t been paying close enough attention to Donald Trump.
It’s delicious.
