Even a cursory study of Asian history shows that the tribes which make current day Pakistan and Afghanistan have been warring each other for at least the last 2,000 years.

We trained them to fight marine corps style and they still hid behind walls and stuck their rifles over to blind fire because they're chicken shits. I thought Pakistan was sympathetic to the Taliban, especially since the Taliban and Al-Qaeda were all hiding out in Pakistan for 20 years until US forces withdrew from Afghanistan.
