She was a terrible hire, but the White House would have to admit they didn't properly vet her. Since admitting a mistake isn't an option for Trump, Inc., I will take the over.
She will probably quietly resign on a Friday during the holidays to spend more time with her family.
The White House tipped its hand this morning. Keep her as press secretary for awhile. Just don't let her perform the duties of press secretary. Shield her from reporters:

Was there more to the interview? I ask because I didn't see "disaster" at all. At most she came across as someone not used to being on camera.
To echo SFP, she's at KJP level right now. Contrary to SFP though, I'm not ready to condemn her to that being her peak. I'm willing to give her a week or three to see how she handles the heat.

Rather than take any responsibility, she made the Administration look bad. Yes, the Administration was wrong not to vet her. Yes, whoever insisted on her giving a briefing before she was remotely ready was wrong.
A good press secretary would have taken one for the team. "I let my excitement and enthusiasm get the better of me. I so much appreciated the opportunity to work for the best president ever. This is exactly where I'm at as well. The press pool doesn't deserve another Kayleigh. Just follow the Biden playbook of Circle Back and French Dip level of aptitude. So going forward just take 3 or 4 friendlies with a "We'll have to get back to you on that" and turn up the blades and sound on Marine One to drown out any follow up questions. Wash rinse repeat for the next 2 years. Have fun with it.

I got ripped when I made fun of the hot assistant one we initially thought was the pick because she was almost straight out of ASU or something. Then, when Zacharia was announced and I saw she had a law degree and had seemingly been around the block in R circles, I figured she was competent.
These hot blondes almost invite more scrutiny.
I don’t think it will hurt Trump at the polls, but IvoryBillMatt was right in that it’s an unforced error when he didn’t need one.
