I know I am in the minority, but I really think the 3rd season will be the most telling. As bad as this one ended, it was technically an improvement from last year. We actually won some games we would have lost in 2024. If next year proves to be a clear decline in team achievement from this year, I’ll be more restless and more inclined to part ways with DeBoer. The hardest pill to swallow is not having the Saban standard anymore, but we knew that was going to be the case regardless of who replaced him.

Brian Kelly was a much more shocking hire to me for a myriad of reasons. Partially because I am close to ND fans that absolutely haaaated him at the end, but LSU fans made the argument that whatever success he had at ND should be doubled or tripled because he was now in the SEC and so they gaslit themselves into believing he would do greater things with the resources. Lane at least found some level of success in the SEC which I understand is fueling the optimism now. Still shocking BK did so little with as much as he had access to at LSU. That would be the one thing keeping me up at night if I were an LSU fan, can Land get over his own arse and actually apply himself instead of stroke the ego the entire time? Egomaniacs can be wildly successful, but they also crash and burn in fantastical ways, too. Either way, it will be entertaining.

I thought I saw some official UA account (I think it was the Saban Field at BDS account) on Twitter say “and don’t come back” in response to the clip. Which I thought was kind of weird for an official account with ties to the university to publish to a former player, but okay.

I don’t know how to explain that contrary to the pervasive TigerRant belief that all other SEC fans are worried or jealous, the much more accurate adjectives would be amused, entertained, and curious—Lane Kiffin is the new purple and gold court jester. An SEC coach active on social media is gonna make those big time losses delicious. The CONTENT we are about to be served. Unless LSU restricts it (please don’t, even though it’s probably in your athletic department’s best interest). Any time there’s a big SEC coaching switch up, we get invested, but not every time is it one with the persona like LK. :lol:

I enjoyed seeing them have success this year. I am mostly indifferent over Aggie, though I was at the annoying Johnny Football game in Tuscaloosa back in 2012, (and I direct my wrath at Manziel cause he’s such a douchebag) but other than that I do have somewhat of affinity to their organization because of the Bear and Gene Stallings.

Kiffin has a reputation for a reason. We all know who he is, even the most confident LSU fan knows deep inside that Kiffin has a problematic side and they have every right to be a little nervous about that aspect of his character. That said, he’s not doing illegal collusion shite to sabotage games. And Kirby wouldn’t want anything to do with that anyway and doesn’t need Kiffin’s help. Kiffin’s form of petty revenge would just be to assemble a good game plan and some goofy arse quotes to drop vs. Ole Miss next year.
