And now Zelensky and his EU handlers respond. These are America’s allies?

Zelenskyy Urgently Attacks Russian Oil/Fuel Export Terminal
October 10, 2026 | Sundance
Immediately after President Trump announced a strategic energy supply deal with Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine President Zelenskyy ordered drone strikes against the Russian oil/fuel export terminal NZNP. The targeted terminal is located in the Zheleznodorozhny district of Rostov-on-Don, and it is used to transship petroleum products including diesel fuel for exports toward the west. {SOURCE, Ukraine Today}
The intention of Zelenskyy’s targeting is obvious to anyone who has followed the conflict between Russia-Ukraine and the involvement of EU-NATO countries in keeping maximum conflict at the forefront.
They do not want a strategic agreement between Putin and Trump. Hours before the Ukraine targeting of the NZNP export terminal, President Trump announced a strategic agreement with President Putin for refined diesel exports over the next six months. This Trump-Putin agreement was against the interests of Zelenskyy and specifically against the interests of his benefactors in London, because Putin and Trump are working outside the “western market pricing system”.

? Third, you can actually move beyond the current moment into the future by looking at the Lukoil story. When you combine what Putin has said with the strategic agreement with Trump now in place you can clearly see how Lukoil is going to end up being a wedge to drive out London financial influence and free the USA from this corrupt market control system. – SEE HERE
Once you understand those three previous outlines, then you understand exactly why the U.K. needs Zelenskyy to stop this agreement between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. London’s entire market control system is at risk. It’s all connected.

We should rely on other countries only for things we can't produce (Example: things made of rare earth minerals that we don't have in our country). There is absolutely no reason whatsoever we should be caught with a shortage of diesel. I am not an oil and gas man but with our abundance of oil, diesel should be at the top of the list. Screw the global warming bullshite and let's get independent.

Ukraine is fricked. They need to go ahead and agree to a peaceful ceasefire and shut the frick up.
Ukraine should've done that 2 weeks after this started, when Putin made a deal and Zylenski was ok with..... until western influence "changed " his mind.

that’s less than 2 days of us diesel consumption…sad when that’s considered a victory by the Trumper. Also, pooty poo can’t guarantee a single solitary ton of diesel export right now.
Yeah, I'm not understanding how this move will "plummet" prices of fuel here as he's stating. 300,000 tons of fuel equates to ~ 85,000,000 gallons. US domestic consumption of Diesel fuel, daily, is ~ 120,000,000 gallons. Let's just call this deal, for an entire month as reported, good for 16 hours of "relief".

This isn’t going to happen. The SC just made tariff decisions and the president can’t make decisions on tariffs or who we can trade with. That is left up to Congress
Russia shortage on diesel is much worse than ours.

President Donald Trump’s deal to bring Russian diesel to the U.S. and global markets could provide some relief from soaring fuel prices, but analysts disagree over how much the additional supply will help American consumers.
Trump announced Friday that Russia would immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by another 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons “immediately thereafter.”
Russia would deliver another 3 million tons within a short period, Trump said, depending on the condition of its diesel refineries.
The agreement comes as diesel prices remain near record highs, putting pressure on truckers, farmers, and other businesses that rely on the fuel.
The national average U.S. diesel price reached $6.28 per gallon Friday, according to AAA, after rising about 70% since the U.S. and Israel launched the war with Iran in February, Reuters reported.
Clayton Seigle, an energy strategist at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told The Associated Press that the deal probably would not have much effect on prices.
Michael Lynch of the Energy Policy Research Foundation also questioned whether the shipments would meaningfully increase the amount of diesel available worldwide.
“If we get diesel from Russia, basically it means that their existing customers are not going to get it and they'll have to go somewhere else, and that will keep the price basically where it is now,” Lynch said, according to the AP.
The concern is that Russia could redirect fuel from existing customers rather than add enough new supply to ease the global shortage.

quote:And then there was the bright idea of removing the fed/state tax and allow diesels to buy the red dye off road. Hell, I can only think of one place where you can get off road near me. But is passed by 2 stores yesterday. One was 6.19 and the other was 5.75. I wonder are they selling standard diesel and just not paying the taxes. Our governor did not have the authority to eliminate the tax but he instructed the DPS not to enforce on road burning off road. They are easy to spot because the exhaust pipe turns red. Sounds good but not sure there is enough off road produced to fill the need. I just buy a little for my tractor, not 100s of gallons at a time.
I wonder if it is only like a days worth, of our consumption of diesel.

So Biden still biting us in the arse even after he's gone. How the hell did we survive his administration (or whoever the hell was running it)?

I don't do math, so I'm not sure if this is right.

Biden (or whoever ran things) was the worst president of my lifetime.
This isn't just on him though. The No Russian Oil Imports legislation passed unanimously in the Senate and like 6 no votes in the House.
I am just surprised not to see much mention of the law, though. It's like Epstein Files Transparency Act 1.0, though...there's no penalty for non-compliance.

We`ll see what the markets think of the deal Sunday when trading opens back up.

It's a shortage of refineries.

The United States does not lack total refining capacity—operating near 90% to 96% utilization—but rather faces a structural mismatch between the type of oil it extracts and the heavy crude configuration of its older, existing infrastructure

new oil refineries are currently being developed in the United States, breaking a decades-long lull in greenfield (brand-new) refinery construction
Major Projects Underway
America First Refining (Brownsville, Texas):
A $3 billion to $4 billion hydrogen-powered oil refinery is underway at the Port of Brownsville.
It will process 160,000 to 168,000 barrels per day of light domestic shale oil from the Permian and Eagle Ford basins.
The project includes a 20-year agreement with India's Reliance Industries and began breaking ground in the second quarter of 2026.
San Patricio County / Taft Project (South Texas):
A separate $1.2 billion oil refinery project is moving forward on agricultural land in San Patricio County near Taft, Texas, with financing secured and construction slated to start in late 2026.
