Lol at hipsters who worship “”organic”” labels.

I remember going with my girlfriend to buy organic garlic she wanted and the guy running the place was spraying Round-Up along the driveway. When we got to the garlic boxes you could tell Round-Up was also used around then boxes to kill the grass.

My favorite is “organic vegetables”

There are people so full of soy that they will spend an extra 5 dollars on Bell Peppers if the label says they are “organic”

That and organic honey. No one knows where the bee got the pollen, organic honey does not exist. Paying extra for a lie.

My favorite is the hand crafted, gourmet, non-gmo salt

I'll stick with the peppers, tomatoes and squash I grow in the garden, thanks.

Its become a cottage industry that preys on stupid liberals. I saw a high-dollar container of "non-GMO" sea salt once.

dammit. you beat me to it

You know how they get to say that without being sued? They dont put the corn based, anti-caking additive in it so it turns into a goddam brick in your pantry.

Anyone remember the 80s and the mass rush on everything “fat-free”?

Turns out they meant no added fat but shite was packed with corn syrup and carbohydrates.

Check your water bottle that you cannot seem to be without - It contains phthalates that keep the plastic soft so that it doesn't crack as readily and they readily volatilize into the contents of the bottle. Maybe that is what is making other things soft too.

True story: I was picking up a load of avocados at a distributor in New Jersey to go to a Walmart distribution center in Georgia. I stood there on the dock while they loaded my truck. They gave me my paperwork and I started to leave, but noticed something wrong, and had to go back inside. When I went in, they were putting the same avocados into different boxes that were labeled as organic and had a foreign sounding name. I just shook my head at that.

My wife used to work at a health food store. The "organic" label is mostly BS. Anyone can claim "organic". There is a certification process for some items that are truly or close to organic, but most the random shite you see on the shelf is not really organic.

My grandmother was raised in cottonport, LA and grew up on a farm. She laughs at all the organic stuff. She says they have to be sprayed with something or pests would eat it the fruit/vegetables.

Industry has learned that the words, "organic", "non-gmo" "sustainable", "no antibiotics", "pasture raised", and several other words I can't think of at the moment triggers mostly liberals to open their wallets. Hell, that is Whole Foods entire business model.

I would recommend people research organic fertilizer requirements for food.

The fertilizer directly impacts the nutrients of the food regardless of chemical exposure.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to eat healthier foods with less chemicals. I just think it's naïve to believe that you can just go to a big store and buy it.
The only way you could get really organic food, is to grow it yourself. It's a lot of hard work though, and all of that exercise is probably the real benefit.

The only time I buy organic is when the produce section is out of the regular vegetable because the truck hasn't arrived yet.

Maybe the organic part is from the corn syrup they add?
