This isnt to discount the people that have had family or friend that died from the virus.

Multiple doctors, coroners, and so on and so forth have come forth told us about the pressure to label covid for every death possible, for more fed money.

What is Covids actual count in America? Half of that-50,000? 20,000? 10,000? Whats yalls guess?

Less than half. 25,000 wouldn't surprise a lot of people.

Boosted at least 50%. This is a bad flu season that hammers certain people because of pre-existing conditions, age, etc. Open it up.

Yeah, I was going to say around 25,000 with 90% or more being +75.

What number do you think is false and what number do you think is accurate?

The hospitals are highly incentivized to mark deaths as covid so I would guess it's a solid 70% less than whatever Cnn is rolling with.

It's a good thing we don't shut the economy down due to drug overdoses because this happens yearly.

LINK

70,237 drug overdose deaths occurred in the United States in 2017.

Maybe they will call these drug abuse case increases Covid-19 virus deaths too.

I think that it’s close to accurate. 70k+ easily.

The real questions will be 1) how does it affect mortality in the next 2-5 years. We may see reduced mortality for 2021 and/or 2022. And 2) what will be the years of life lost?

We probably won’t have a really clear picture until Q1 of 2022 of what happened.

Different levels of government have admitted to inflating the numbers for CARES money. Hospitals have admitted to inflating the numbers for CARES money. I guarantee there are government agencies and hospitals that have not admit they were inflating numbers for the CARES money.

Government officials got on national TV and admitted that they are counting deaths not caused by COVID as COVID deaths. Nobody will know the real number, ever.

Agree on all points. I actually expect mortality and morbidity overall to be lower for the next few years

The First Wave Numbers:

Total World Dead from COVID-19 percentage:

330,000÷7,800,000,000=0.0000423077

................................................................

Total US Dead from COVID-19 percentage:

95,000÷330,000,000=0.0002878787

................................................................

Currently, 99.97121213 percent of the US population has not died from COVID-19.

Currently, 99.99576923 percent of the world's population has not died from COVID-19.

There was no significant first wave numbers to justify closing down the US economy and removing American freedoms.

The President needs to hammer these numbers home on social media.

Even if these reported numbers are exaggerated, the numbers in no way justify shutting down the world economy.

Which would still make it a helluva lot closer to the flu than than a pandemic that kills half a million people.

And a lot of people here ridiculed others for comparing it to the flu, even if they don't like admitting it these days.

From an actuarial standpoint, we would need a factor of 10 higher fatalities to begin to think about shutting down the economy.

40,000 total death toll. Mortality rate about .5% on the high end. This is not the bubonic plague.

Given the overreaction the thought of how the country will roll up into a ball and die if we have a real one is a concern.

There is one of these every few years. Pavlov has conditioned the dogs.
