It'll be that, or they'll go back to "well there was fraud, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome of the election."
That's like holding in a football game, if there's holding, it comes back. The refs shouldn't be able to say that it wouldn't have affected the play. There's no way to know it. The penalty must stand.

You may be correct. But would it matter if Congress approves the slate of electors of someone who is ineligible to be POTUS? If not, then we are basically are changing the COTUS through fraud.
From COTUS Article 2 § 1:

I think that is a good point/question.
I would assume that a candidate who is unqualified to be President would be stopped by a state court or state executive official in charge of elections from appearing on the ballot.
Barring that, then it would be up to Congress or federal courts.
In such a situation just make sure you don't protest - Democrats made clear you will rot in jail if you do.

Not having a safeguard in place that detect redundant SS#'s is inexcusable, especially in elections!! There needs to set standards set in federal elections, if states don't meet set standards their votes should not be counted.
