We had this discussion around 1865. The second they try will be considered an act of war, and all hell will break lose. They should consider what seceding actually means; the south barely recovered from the Union troops burning our cities. I am sure southern boys would jump at the chance to burn San Francisco and LA like the Union did Atlanta

In that case, I look forward to the inevitable war to negate California's secession and return it to the Union.

Or maybe when they try to secede we should start a civil war to keep them in the "union", invade them and take over California (should take about a week since the SJW's use words and rocks and are anti guns) and then impose reconstruction and rebuild cali in the image of the rest of America

How are they going to sustain themselves? What currency will they go bye? Who are they going to buy water from? How will they deal with Mexico?

They will depend on us for water, Their money will have pictures of LGBT leaders, and they will allow open borders which will cause them to go bankrupt because they wont have money from the U.S. government to sustain the massive amount of freeloaders.

So take away the guarantee of 20% of the electoral college votes and, by doing so, make it more unlikely that another democrat gets elected anytime soon . . . I can live with that.
Let them go, then immediately make Puerto Rico a state and tell California we're good with a nice round number of 50 when they want back in. Let them know they'll be on the top of the waiting list if a vacancy comes up.

Haha I wouldn't put it past the newly formed People's Republic of California to build a northern wall to keep out the liberals from Oregon and Washington while letting Mexico invade at will.
