I have that same gig, my home of residence is Missouri though and i have no state tax coming out.
Additionally we don't pay personal property tax on vehicles or highway tax in a lot of the states we are in when we go to renew registration

Dumbest thing I've read in a while.
Think about it. They would have to form AND fund their own armed forces, just for starters, that alone would bankrupt them. Not to mention the companies and citizens that would leave to remain a part of the USA. They wouldn't be part of nafta. ANYTHING they try and sell in IS would be taxed on import.
Seriously, theory are bankrupt WITH federal help. Can you imagine without it?
