Midterms have historically been bad for the President in office, especially a lame duck one.
Senate didn't help by not passing the Save America Act. Hopefully the splintering of the dem party will help.

There should be a stress meter at polling places to keep concerned people from voting. They could be having a bad day and totally regret their vote for the next two years.

I don’t think the DNC really even cares about midterms all that much. The GOP is useless and they know it. They’re content to watch them further alienate their base while accomplishing nothing permanent for another two years while preparing for 28.
